Crewed on a Burger 65 right after collage graduation summer 1973 ~ New York Yacht Club regatta and a few charters. The boat was about 10-15 years old with a great French Provençal interior. So swanky!!
Absolutely love this. Looks in better shape than a lot of 90's yachts. I'd really lean into the 60's styling and add in some colorful rugs and art of the era.
Love the Yacht and everything about it. I would really love to see a professional tour by someone who really understands the whole unit. There is so much to see on the beauty.
Great tour, Tony. I love the yacht, so much of it is preserved so well. That said, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were holding a yard sale onboard a beautiful ship. A little staging would have gone a long way!
Man somebody LOVED this boat, that engine room is IMMACULATE. I'd be rethinking that fly bridge, rotate that tender 90 degrees and shove it up against the smokestack/pilot house. 86 the rear windows from the pilot house, put in some huge storage lockers there to fill that void space behind the tender. Put the BBQ behind the stairs, you could make a lot more room up there if you were cool with only having one tender.
Tony, I kept waiting on someone to pop out and say BOO !! That was a classic also !! This yacht is amazing !! The saloon door with a real door knob ! Love it !! Thank you and safe travels !!
A Burger!!!!! The Rolls-Royce of yachts!!! I love love Burger yachts. We were berthed next to a classic Burger 81' when I was on a Benetti 125. It ws stunning. The guy that owned it was always surrounded by beautiful women because of his business but the yacht envisioned what everyone thought about when you thought of yachting in the late 80' ear,y 90's.
1966 was a very good year, yes- Damn, if only I had no common sense, I would buy this and live on it in Fort Lauderdale! It would cost $2500 per month just to moor it behind someone's house. And that is if they allowed liveaboards.... Great video!
Alright Tony another great find, all I can say is considering she is two years older than me I wish I looked as good for my age as she does, it's nice to see she has kept her period look inside and out where some older yachts are totally modernized inside with fittings and finishes,so really nice to see something authentic. I wonder how much she would be going for if for sale especially with the vintage tag on her, anyway Tony all the best from Cornwall 🤗✌️👍
Muito interessante, com 58 anos de idade e realmente conservado com alcançe de 2.500 milhas nauticas. Que oootimo. Parabeeeeens pela otima apresentação.
Wow. What a beast. Love this one. And that's coming from a guy who normally HATES most "Mid-Century Modern" style furniture. But for a boat this adorable, I'd allow the silly chairs, just to keep the whole thing looking period-correct.
I will whenever I can! They are harder to come by these days. I just pinned a comment with a link to another classic Burger yacht if you want to check it out!
I would turn it into an over night stay restaurant. five tables for the lounge. back deck a bar. then s little trip around the bay. Breakfast in bed . and just keep moving along till noon and start again. Maybe a weekend or too. Would be great for weddings and parties. Thank you Tony she's a beautiful yacht
Tony, I love your content and passion for these vessels. For consistency, it would be great to include as part of your intro the # of guests & crew the yacht has capacity for.
I completely agree. Not worthy of this yacht. Like a children's playroom. The beautiful built-in furniture in the bar and kitchen-dining room gives off a completely different atmosphere than the Mid-century Modern furniture in the "saloon".
good vid -good narrative, point your camera higher when you go from room to room etc. etc. it keeps claustrophobics like me from wanting to turn off the vid.. but your vids are very good cheers.
Saloon is a bit hodge podge. It screams for hardwood floors with a design say, around the border. With nice white carpet set into the middle. Something either really soft, or a period shag which is back, and then some sleek mid-century leather furniture. Love the proper bar, but would love to see some updated colors on the front panels of the bar. Believe it or not, I'd like to see some rich dark wood to go with the wood flooring, and then some more lighting and design touches behind the bar. Bar feature is underutilized. 6:00 The Dining table? Those chairs? That looks more like a 50s kitchen table and chairs. Why is there not a rectangular table there with more regal chairs? The little oval table is undersized for that space. Wall covers/wallpaper? Gotta go. Helm is excellent. Guest cabins a-ok, Owner's suite 👌 Very nice crew quarters. Engine Room, is my favorite room and has been beautifully maintained. Fly-bridge is screaming for custom built-in wraparound seating in white seating.
nice boat!! - I wouldn't even know that there would be a market for this age boat. Aging is much more brutal on a boat than it is on a car, I think, as the salty seas set out to ruin everything, all the time!! Is maintenance on a yacht like this, exponentially more expensive than on an aluminum yacht? Aluminum and carbon fiber?
Tony, how can you call the fly bridge when there's no Bridge there to run the boat question mark you might be able to call it a sun deck or the upper deck.
So I imagine the point of buying this beautiful classic would be charters n'est ce que pas? Playing. It is gorgeous in the bones with very minor upgrades needed to captivate today's market. The galley is impeccable but the eating area does not reflect the class it should be given. Basically an interior decorator could modernize this boat or even re invent yesteryear but with more upper class ideas. Price is quite reasonable and she could well be a money maker for the right investor. I can see the poker game now with John Wayne and the boys till 5 am in the main lounge. Classic.
I love many things about this yacht that are original. I absolutely cannot stand what they did to the lounge it is not attractive and it doesn't embrace the heritage of the yacht at all. It's really disturbing how many designers go in and just white paint over beautiful wood work in Older yachts. There ought to be a law against it.
Ok not bad. I Like the aluminum construction the newer engines but some parts, especially the salon, look really dated, and not in a good way. Thought it would be less than $2.1M. Not for me. I’m not sure who this yacht would appeal to at that price.
Need more Cummins power, say 1900ea. And $2mil is way too much for an almost 60 year old boat, I don't care how big it is. My offer would be $750,000-$1mil. at the most.
@@rickbrant4285 Rick, my uncle had a big yacht in the 60's. A general rule of thumb for bigger yachts in the 60's was $1000 to $2000 max per foot of length, depending on trims, engines, and feature set. There is zero chance this thing cost a million dollars in 66. Check out the googles.

Inevitable ?
That's been sold, one of the best Motor Yachts you'll ever find.
🎉🎉
I absolutely love the classic and vintage yachts. So much character and personality.
Love it
Lovely❤

A very groovy tour. This classic ship is gorgeous. As they say, 'They don't make them like that anymore'.
Absolutely love this. Looks in better shape than a lot of 90's yachts. I'd really lean into the 60's styling and add in some colorful rugs and art of the era.
Definitely give us more vintage yachts!!!!
This looks great for its age, nice layout and plenty of room throughout. Great tour Tony thank you.
Thank you, I lived just south of Manitowoc and saw so many Burgers. So many good old day memories
I visited Manitowoc for camping while stationed at Great Lakes, nice memory, Two Rivers also. Love from Long Island!
This is probably one of the coolest yachts that’s been filmed. This is one of those boats that a film is shot on. Well done!
These Burgers are amazing! Thanks for watching!
Love the Yacht and everything about it. I would really love to see a professional tour by someone who really understands the whole unit. There is so much to see on the beauty.
Perfection! ...Powerball ticket in hand. Stand by.
The country kitchen is the icing on the cake, absolutely beautiful
Classic yacht with beautiful lines... a little dated but oh so nice and homey. Thanks so much Tony for the tour.
Great tour, Tony. I love the yacht, so much of it is preserved so well. That said, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were holding a yard sale onboard a beautiful ship. A little staging would have gone a long way!
I love this yacht. I wish that I was fortunate enough to enjoy something like this gorgeous yacht.

I agree I laughed really hard that was classic. 50K blooper reel!!!??? Cmon @yachtaddiction
Beautiful. Nice refit, without killing the classic vibe.
Well said!
Amazing that the small table in front of the boat is completely dried out and not oiled up

I also love them! I am hoping to tour a brand new Burger 180' build either late this year or early next year depending on when it's completed.
Pretty cool that the Rolls-Royce of yachts come from Wisconsin!
This was a really nice tour of a very impressive vessel.
Hope you enjoyed the weekend!
Beautiful profile. Love the classic lines. Nice pick Tony.
Love this yacht . It is beautifully preserved but up to date. Thanks for sharing
love everything about this boat except the patch baby blue walls - what werre they thinking 😂

"meticulously taken care of"
Teak does not lie.
A beauty.
nope, but it can be replaced.
@@mikefowler301 true
The engine room doesn't lie though. Someone really cared about this boat.
With a refit I would expect everything to be new and clean 🎉

The actual funnel on top makes me happy. Lil baby cruise ship. Needs a wooden tender tho, that would look sharp sitting up there.
Whoa, true on the tender!
❤
I love that it's not over done. Thank you for sharing. I need a boat so bad I can taste the salt water in my bones.
You and me both!

That really seems to be a sweet boat for an asking price of $2.1mil! Luxury, yet relaxed. I love the country kitchen.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
She's a Gem for sure ! I would LOVE TO BE ABL TO MOVE MY FAMILY INTO A VESSEL LIKE HER !!

I'm a 1966 model too.
I have enjoyed the tour. Do
More tours of 60s and 70s yatchs please!
I will whenever I can! They are harder to come by these days. I just pinned a comment with a link to another classic Burger yacht if you want to check it out!
Algo impar um iate assim de quase 60 anos, mas totalmente reformado e com toda eleteronica atual, por um otimo preço. Paraabeeens pela apresentação.
I love burger yachts. Do more of them!
Great Job showing this

Jeez, that is a nice one.
Perfect for my plans.
OMG Tony great tour!!!
Thank you!
Yes love it nice space all around ❤❤❤❤
So nice!
Glad you like it!
A great boat , loved all but the saloon. Just doesn’t seen as luxurious , inviting and comfortable as it should be
I completely agree. Not worthy of this yacht. Like a children's playroom.
The beautiful built-in furniture in the bar and kitchen-dining room gives off a completely different atmosphere than the Mid-century Modern furniture in the "saloon".
Each to his own but to me the furniture is far from a nautical style I would prefer

Good point.

Fitted out beautifully, but the furniture lets it down. Dining table looks like it from IKEA.

Engine Room, is my favorite room and has been beautifully maintained.

I'd upgrade the salon and dining room furniture. The color scheme isn't my preference but it's a clean ship.
I imagine the Captain's cabin is the one with the head.
So Very nice boat! What is the history of the Engines?
Cool
I could Live on that.

Just imagine the galvanic corrosion deep in the bones of that giant 50 year old zinc
Depends if alternate materials were insulated from the aluminum, but regardless, easier to repair than water soaked fibreglass.

Come on Tony, at the very begining, I want to see the one at the back!!
Where is it currently and what are the terms?
Can you tell me what the selling price was in 1966?
Wow thats a dated interior. looks like its been sitting unused for decades but I love it
Ahead of its time

What a classic looking boat....I'm curious to know what this sold for new in 66. My guess is under 100K . Anyone????
You're kidding, I assume. It was more than likely closer to a cool million....even in 1966. She's a monster.

Yes,I want very much but my social security just doesn’t stretch that far
Back of the boat? It’s called the stern.
price?

Reminds me of Barbara Streisand. Old as fuk.

The term, "As well," is used six times in this video.
You are so silly. 🤦🙃 good 1966 video.
That’s a helm - cowboy
The engine should be the size a van. These seem under-powered for a boat that size. .
👍👌
