The way he used the bi directional mic with the amp off access is so clever to isolate both.
@SKAFRENZ The mic ( soundonsound com/sos/feb04/articles/aear84.htm ) is a ribbon mic, the guitar amp is hitting a dead spot in the mic and still allow the singer to hear himself play guitar.
