Ive sewn for over 50 years since a child! Remade thrift a lot. Im always looking for new inspiration! To some complaining about views or details its not a learn to sew channel! Plenty of those channels out there! You are showing your process to the inspiration! I just subscribed! Watched your oversize shirt!
Great job! I love your duster! Maybe you could get a taller tripod for your phone so more surface area would be in the frame. Than it would be easier for you. I just liked and subscribed and am looking forward to more upcycles. Bonnie
Thanks so much. I have one that goes taller but my phone is so heavy it isn’t working very well. But I’m still working on a solution 😊. Thanks for watching.
Just discovered your channel today. I subscribed! Can't wait to watch more of your episodes. Very inspiring! Just a few comments about this episode: These Eddie Bower shirts are the best! Quality construction and so soft and cheap if you thrift them. @5:54 your underarm seams weren't together, I cringed. @9:34 love the idea of inserts, but I would have turned the cuff plackets around and made them part of the hem on your shirt. @12.33 I would use more decorative stitching than zig-zag. But that's just me. I enjoy more decorative stitching or cover the stitching with thin lace. @14:51 LOVED that jacket add and the collar and the doilies! I would add a button to the centers of the doilies to help hold them in place when laundering. Finally, I LOVE the dye effect! Looking forward to watching more!
I like your work, just watching several of your videos. I think you might want to try ironing the fabric & shirts before you start. I like the doilies flopping over!
Oh my this one is spectacular! It was so much fun watching the green shirt change as you worked. I got a little nervous when you decided to dye it brown on but it was clearly the right thing to do. Another winner! Thank you for your hard work.
Oh no! I loved it until you dyed it 😂 It’s funny how different people’s taste is. I’ve become obsessed with up-cycling denim and men’s shirts recently and currently have half a dozen projects on the go. Best wishes to you from a Granny in Scotland 😊🏴
I saw this in your Etsy store and I was hoping you'd have a tutoriall coming. Loved following you through your thought process and learned a few new techniques. The brown dye was the perfect touch. What brown did you use? You did a great job!
Aww. Well thanks so much. Yeah. I don’t usually do things in that order but I had it done and wanted to get it listed I wasn’t sure how many of my subscribers would actually see it in my Etsy shop ! 😊. Thanks again for watching.
Check that your phone doesn't have a quick-access shortcut for the camera. On my Pixel, it's double-tapping the power button. You don't even have to enter your password, it just opens the camera app but locks out access to everything else, including the gallery. Cool project, btw! Always neat to see how other people put elements together. When you said brown dye, I was expecting brown-brown. I'm glad you love the soft taupe, but I would have gone more chocolate, maybe as a low water immersion with scrunching to keep some of the original colours less effected. Thanks for sharing, regardless!
It’s all trial and error. Your doing great along with your up cycling. I up cycle clothing and accessories and I’ll tell ya, I’m not confident enough to make videos.
I just found your videos. Could you please move your camera back some. We can’t see what you are showing when you are pointing. Would love to see a lot of the thinking (show) you are doing. Thanks.

The brown dye ages everything and makes it look as if it has been a duster for a very long time. Beautiful!

Thank you!! Yes of course… it’s the Rit dye liquid.
Do you recall the color’s name?
@@suzntx I believe it just said ‘brown’ on it.
