Yea but if you put less bookshelves, theres less enchantments the table can offer, so certain enchantments like feather falling will be more likely. But as u said anything above 15 bookshelves is useless, like ive seen people say for fortune you should put 19 bookshelves around the table but no thats a complete myth
So basically it's best to build alcatraz, khm a village with 42 librarians that you muck around with until you have each enchant that you can buy whenever you want.
It’s actually not bs that feather falling is more common at lower enchantment level. A simple wiki search shows you that it’s most common when your enchanting level is at 22
Blocking off enchantment tables from bookshelves also can increase the chance of a particular enchantment. If you don't get it with 30, place a block to reduce the levels and look again, rinse and repeat. It not only gives you more options, but sometimes it requires you to have less levels for the same enchantment.
You forgot to mention that you can combine enchantments to upgrade them. For example if you combine 2 Protection III books, they turn into Protection IV
Did mention that for wind burst, also that is not a really good idea in general when enchanting with an anvil. That increases the number of anvil uses on the enchanted book, which leads to a higher chance for too expensive to happen. Much better to just get the protection 4 book itself from a villager than combining 2 protection 3s
Absolute chad of a video. Perfect. Except duspite the synonyms being funny, they distracted a but from the enchants. You should do a villager trading hall vid. Cheers
Some of the problems with finding specific enchantments by breaking and replacing the librarian's lectern are (1) If you make a single trade with the librarian, then his set of trades is locked in, so you have to find a different unemployed villager to make into a different librarian with a different lectern. (2) You can only see the level 1 (novice) trades. Sometimes, at level 1, a librarian offers no enchantments at all, so this makes the process of searching for specific enchantments even longer.
Note: Bedrock allows you to see the next set of trades a villager has, but you can't actually trade at that tier until it is unlocked. To prevent confusion: If a villager is a novice, and you open its trade menu, you'll see its tier 1 trades as usual, but you will also see its tier 2 trades. The menu has the tier 2 trades greyed out and you can't use those trades, but you can at least see them. If a villager is level 3, you will see its three sets of trades along with its tier 4 trades, except again you can't trade at that level and it is greyed out.
@@sbubby4548so hypothetically if I was playing on Xbox which I’m pretty sure is bedrock, I should set my librarian and break and reset until I see the enchantment I want, then start to upgrade them?
@@addisoncasey5868 Yes. But keep in mind: you CANNOT do this with a villager that has been traded with before, you need a villager that has NOT been traded with EVER in order for the break-and replace thing to work. There is a chance that in bedrock edition, a librarian only sells one enchantment book in its 4th or 5th tier (which would be bad news). I don’t know if this is true or not, and haven’t experimented with a villager on this yet.
Only problem is its random. So they might have a really good level 1 trade and a lame trade at a higher level but if you really like the first trade then you can just trade naturally and see what you get over time
Once you buy something, it locks that villager into that profession AND that selling offer. You can re-roll the offer BEFORE buying anything by breaking and putting out the lecturn again. This way you can set all the enchantments and have them permanently available from different librarian villagers. Then maybe you can combine the books? So you can actually choose exactly what enchants you want, and make the perfect weapon
Afk fishing pretty much get most of the enchantments early game without issues. I don't waste my time with enchantment table. The combining its a good tip 💯
It doesn't matter what anvil you use to combine enchantments, it will cost the same amount of exp no matter which on you use. The anvil is a tool-block, and simply *allows* you the action of combining enchants among other things, it does not tamper with the game's mechanics of enchanting itself. But do remember that an anvil breaks after so many uses, so if you do lots of enchanting, you'll need more than one anvil. In short, the only reason you would need multiple anvils would be if the anvil you are using breaks. Other than that, it doesn't matter what anvil you use.

Yes, you can combine tools that have enchants on them with regular tools that have higher durability to preserve the enchants. In fact, I did that today to preserve my Fortune III iron pickaxe. You can only do one kind of upgrade - diamond to netherite. As far as I know, doing so doesn't change the wear on the tool and doesn't do anything to the enchants.
