Riley Pathfinder classic and custom. Renovation of two Corgi models from 1956.

The Corgi company introduced the Riley Pathfinder to the toy market in 1956 and sold it in two colors until 1962. The number 205 announced the regular car, while the number 205 M was a model equipped with a flywheel drive. To increase the toy value of this model, Corgi introduced a police version of Riley in 1958. I purchased a very damaged model that I decided to save because it is quite a rare car. I completed the missing metal elements and added a second model to the project. It was in better condition, so I made it in the Custom version with two-color painting and crystal reflectors. As usual, I included a reproduction of the boxes for both models. Thank you for watching the video, I publish car repair videos on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Maestro!! Both cars are absolutely beautiful! The classic red body, and a SPECTACULAR green two/tone!! The castings looked so much nicer than the Märklin Trio of Pre-War racer/speed record pieces! It must have been a joy to do these Riley Pathfinders! I noticed you used a hole punch to set the glass in the red car. A great way to cinch it in tightly. The TRICK way you painted the rims was a brand new process! It worked perfectly! The Two/Tone green paint job looks wonderful. I saw a picture of a Pathfinder with the exact same paint scheme. Your colors look fantastic. All your fine detail work with chrome accents sparkle!! The Peugeot 404 interior mold from the Hillman Husky project continues to serve perfectly! The tan leather dye for the green car's interior is perfect. I was curious with the boxes about the term, "Mechanical"?? Pawel, you did a masterful job on these Pathfinders!! Dobra robota Paweł. Ciekawi mnie, jak różne kolory reagują na sodę kaustyczną. Wydaje się, że czerwień topnieje niemal natychmiast.

dziękuję bardzo. kolor czerwony, zielony, niebieski reaguje bardzo szybko. żółty, biały, brązowy schodzi troszeczkę dłużej. na pewno nie polecam sody kaustycznej do farb malowanych proszkowymi lakierami. tu lepiej Sprawdzają się chemiczne środki . usuwam również sodą farby metaliczne. nieraz schodzą bardzo szybko, a nieraz opornie. Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Id really appreciate info on what type of screws you use and where you get them from, also what drill bit do you use because I thought they normally were gold toned for metal. Cheers for any help.

I use M2 screws, the so-called Torx metric thread, with a length of 4,3,2 mm, depending on the thickness of the alloy to which I can screw it. If you type Torx screw M2 x 4 mm on the Internet, you should receive the results of these screws, they are sold in packs of I drill 1000 pieces with a 1.6 mm drill and of course then use an M2 tap. Wrong colors on the green model. The top green color is based on white and the bottom green color is based on yellow. They don't match each other.
