After Maggie Thatcher died one of the top songs played in Great Britain was "Ding Dong the Witch is dead " from the Wizard of Oz. The BBC was banned from playing it.🤣
I always felt they should have played a tune called Maggie's Last Party by a group called V.I.M. It was a rave tune in the early 90's which might not be your cup of tea but it's hilarious - and all told in her own words! Very cleverly done.

Certain parts of The Country hated her as she shut down many non profit making Industries, who were the heart of the Community especially up North but,on the other hand,she was the first Female Prime Minister and the First to win 3 successive Elections as there is no cap to how many Elections,in succession,you can try to win.

Maggie’s dead, sung by the Liverpool fans.
There was a FA Cup semi final game at Hillsbourgh football stadium against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in 1989, and to stop the game from being delayed the police opened a main gate to let the Liverpool fans in to on part of the stadium. The more fans the police let in there were Liverpool fans getting crushed to death. As a sad result 97 Liverpool fans, men women and children lost their lives.
At the time Margret Thatcher was the Prime Minister blamed the Liverpool fans and not the police for the incident.
It took the families of the lost ones 30 years to get justice, and some of the police who were on duty at the game were prosecuted.
yeah, it was only a few hours ago that the families actually received an apology from the police for their corruption and way they handled everything. Two things can pretty much be guaranteed though - that the scum tabloid paper will never be allowed here and we will never a tory/conservative politican/crook looking after any area of Liverpool.
The chant, ‘You’re a C**t Robbie, is sung by the Arsenal fans to a player called, Robin van Persie who used to play for Arsenal, then he decided he wanted to leave and join Manchester United to win trophies, so we bought him for £24million 2012 on a 4 year contract.

As Kids in the UK we grew up with a saying ," sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me ". Shame certain folk dont seem to be able to grip this simple notion these days .

The history of Liverpool when Thatcher was in charge with the closing of docks, hating on the city and lastly blaming liverpool fans over Hillsborough tragedy. So no there was no love lost for her.

The Celery chant is Chelsea fans - my brother used to be a season ticket holder - they used to sing it at the start of matches and throw celery onto the pitch. Pretty sure it’s banned now.

I don't follow sports, never really interested me, but these chants are one reason I'd go and see a game. The football fans are really creative with their chants, they are just so good. I don't think these are vile either, they are just a good laugh.

We had a lot of manufacturing undustry in the north that was publicly owned and running at a loss so costing the country money. Maggie shut them all down or sold them off and cost a lot of people their jobs in the process, which is why she is hated by northerners.

The hate for Thatcher comes because of her being Prime Minister at the time 96 Liverpool fans were killed at Hillsborough, and her failure to act on the official reports findings. Her press secretary Bernard Ingham previously revealed he and Mrs Thatcher were told by South Yorkshire Police officers that “a tanked-up mob” of fans outside the football ground were to blame. She didn't want to give her backing to the official report on the incident, which blamed the police, to prevent a loss of confidence in them
Thatcher was briefed by her private secretary that South Yorkshire Police were being defensive and deceitful, proved when the final report exonerated the fans and laid the blame squarely on the police, but her ready acceptance of those lies at the time destroyed public confidence and the effects still last to today.
At the time of the incident the Sun newspaper was vitriolic in its condemnation of the fans, with the result that the newspaper has never been bought in Liverpool from that day on, and the consensus of the city as a whole is that it isn't even fit to use as toilet paper.

What thatcher did to the people of Liverpool and the 96 who died and all the other liverpool fans and family members she blamed for the situation and not forget claimed they stole from the dead. And then covered it up for more then 30 years.

Most of the population in the north of Britain have very good reason to hate Margaret Thatcher - she systematically destroyed a LOT of industry and economy in those areas with her policies back in the day, and those communities have been struggling ever since. I'm pretty sure Boris will get his own chant at some point in the future when his time comes as well.
Labour Party closed more mines than Maggie ever did and the real baddies were Scargill and his flying pickets who used strong arm tactics on those miners who wanted to carry on working even to the extent of killing one man by dropping a concrete block on his vehicle from a bridge. Coal prices were ridiculous because the miners union demanded more money and less work for their members, forcing the government to import coal at a cheaper rate from elsewhere.

Maggie's dead refers to Maggie Thatcher - a reviled and hated politician in Liverpool (she tried to run the city in to the ground and increase poverty, unemployment and homelessness). When she did the entire city rejoiced.
Nowadays Liverpool is consistently seen as one of the friendliest and most appealing places to live in the UK, with some of the lowest crime rates out of all of the large cities
Now if you wanted to consider vile chants - then the man city fans making fun of the Hillsborough disaster would be at the top of the list. In fact the families of the victims finally got a written apology from the police today - 34 years too f***ing late

Liverpool fans always blame others for their failings, they were responsible for the Heysel stadium disaster, they boo the national anthem and they celebrated the death of Margaret Thatcher and HM the Queen, they taunt Man Utd fans over the Munich air disaster but expect everyone to to show respect regarding the Hillsborough disaster.
@@paulwoolley4957 heysel received a full apology many many years ago and things were put in place to ensure that never happened again. I believe tht there is a memorial area for it at anfield too. as for celebrating the death of maggie - if you were a scouser you'd have done the same and as for booing the royal family - it was actually the national anthem and was in protest to how the people in power tried to cover up what happened at hillsborough. 34 bloody years on and we are only just getting an apology from the police for their lies and corrupt practices at the time - and they still havent brought a law in which would hold them to account for lying under oath. As for munich - that would be in retaliation for the taunts they receive - and seriously, a plane crash is a lot different to a mass crush that killed 97, injured countless others including physical and psycological harm - and which then had police, government and a national newspaper saying that it was the fault of fans - from which it took multiple enquiries over several decades to continually prove it wasnt.

Maggie (aka Margaret Thatcher) was universally loathed by Liverpool supporters (those singing in the vid) due to her reaction to the Hillsborough Disaster and also even more hated by the Scotts due to her systemematic dismantling of the Scottish infrastructure.

Yeah Thatcher is one of those leaders that were loved by some and utterly despised by others.
For example I live in the North and lots of local villages near me that used to be thriving are now a shell of what they were since all the coal mines, factories and steelwork plants were closed by her which just dried up the local economy. Hundreds of thousands got made unemployed, which then meant local businesses went bust cause nobody could afford to go shop there, kids went hungry cause couldn't afford food etc
Plus she basically went to war with the unions and tried to ruin the workers ability to strike.
I remember when she died my Grandad texted me saying "I wonder when they do her state funeral if they'll fire the 21 gun salute into the casket just to make sure" 🤣
An old Scottish lady was interviewed after she died. She was asked whats your thoughts and she said she was glad and that they should put a steak through her heart and garlic round her neck so she doesn't come back
I live near Birmingham and have travelled around the country for 20+ years, and hear worse language on a daily basis. If these are vile to you, then you've had a good upbringing and not seen most of England.
