- Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a rape conviction in Los Angeles, adding to a 23-year sentence already handed down in New York.

It’s not often that incredibly powerful individuals get held accountable for the crimes they commit but when it does happen it feels good that even people like Harvey Weinstein can be served justice. Considering he’s already in his 70s, he’s not going to live to see the light of day after a 39 year term in prison. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Harvey mad somebody angry and lost his (immunity). It happens all the time. I think it might be happening to Bill Gates as we speak. Trump and Elon could be next.

😂 I thought it was fake until I remembered a time in my life when I had gone through extreme stress and abuse & my muscles became so EXCRUCIATINGLY painful that I could not walk, I had to hobble around on one leg. I looked like I had a broken ankle for weeks because I could hardly move my muscles due to almost unbearable pain!!!. …. That might be what’s happened to him, let’s hope so. 😆 and being in prison that stress will not go away and then the pain will not go away. 😆🎉🎉🎉

I was just pointing out that he’s probably in tremendous pain because of what he’s going through. And in his case I don’t feel sorry for him. But it is possible for extreme stress to take a severe toll on your body creating such excruciating pain that you can hardly walk.

Not a fan of him but sitting in a cell for prolonged periods of time will affect his mobility or arthritis. He went from a luxurious life to being in a cell. I don't think he will live very long.

He should be in jail. It just puzzles me that he got a stiffer sentence than a lot of people who commit murder or other violent crimes.
His sentences are being served consecutively. And I guess they threw the book at him. But you're right, it makes no sense.
The legal or justice system is pretty weird in various instances. And good luck changing anything, that requires new laws to be written and passed, so not going to happen anytime soon.
Well, I feel like he did it for decades so it was many many crimes and he's is famous and wealthy. So he also paid off a lot of women to keep it quiet. He perpetuated the lie that women talk about abuse for money....which has poisoned society way too long. He changed women's lives forever, they changed life paths...to the point of soul killing in some ways. what he did was as bad as murder...in my humble opinion.
You cannot be serious. Do you know the havoc that r&*e brings into a survivors life?! In South Africa it carries a mandatory life term. I cannot think of a worse crime, most survivors say, they wish the perpetrator had unalived them. Research articles on studies, then you will understand why the sentence is not nearly enough.
