Rob might be a downer at times but it’s refreshing to see someone we view as celebrity open up about mental health. I applaud him for forcing himself to get clean and recognizing the finish line only could have ended one way and that’s a premature passing. Thank you Rob for sharing and for Jaimie sharing your MS diagnosis. I had no idea. You guys are a breath of fresh air. I’m in my mid 30s and have never watched Sopranos. It was on my to do list but listening to your pod motivated me. We just finished Se. 1 and I’m digging it. It’s a gem of a time capsule. Jaimie you’re really great and effortless in your execution of your lines and Rob this is gonna sound weird but you’re adorable and remind me a little of myself when I was your age. You also had impeccable timing and execution of your lines as well I’ve laughed multiple times and you were definitely a relief throughout the heaviness of some of the scenes. I’m looking forward to seeing you two grow in the series. Rob I know you may be leery on resuming acting because you might be concerned you will fall into old habits because of the lifestyle that comes with the spotlight but I would love to see you in more things. I think with your focus and hard work you can stay straight. You have love and support from your colleagues, friends and your fan base. We are all rooting for you.

Rob, you’re not a loser, but you have a keen awareness of how it ended for your friends with less of the lucky breaks/success/money to greet them on the other end. It’s very hard for middle to lower class people to get themselves through an addiction like you’ve commented about without having anything bright to look forward to. You’re a hero for making that statement, but you don’t have to put you down to do so. You’re doing something special, using your celebrity in a very raw way and please never become one of those cookie cutter people who say and do what they think people want to hear. Just be you publicly so we, who get something from that, can continue to bc it’s really rare.

My wife found a pair of her own underwear in the laundry that she had totally forgotten about and was SUPER PISSED at me for a week before she confronted me about them. I had to dig into her drawer and find the matching pair she hadn't worn in a few years before she forgave me for her own underwear

I 100% get what Rob means by feeling like a "loser." He doesn't mean loser in the material, spiritual, or communal sense. He means a loser in mindset. I know because I used to feel exactly the same way, despite coming from a good family that gave me everything growing up, having real friends, good looks, intelligence and every material thing I could ever want or need. For the longest time though, I was a Mommy and Daddy's boy. An imposter who lived his life in pursuit of the approval and validation of others, supported only by the goodwill of my parents and the people who loved me. I was a leaf in the wind with no real prospects except to conform and copy, and I wasn't even good at that. It wasn't until I found success in a career path/purpose that I CHOSE, where I started to feel like a winner, despite always being able to pass as one on the outside. A winner is someone who loves and respects themselves and who believes in their ability to do impactful things. Everything else is just an extension of that core feeling. Without it, there will always be a lack of purpose one could characterize as being a "loser."
How did you find that path?

Jamie was sticking up for Rob when she didn’t need to. Sweet as the sentiment was, I have met and am related to people like rob is talking about. Being rich enough to live lazily and still be seen as successful, is 1 in a million. If he weren’t a success in Hollywood, he would be a loser and not give a fuck. Some people really don’t care about earning a living, they just want to live.

The discussion on self love was really good
As someone who has been catfish, I don’t think I would’ve felt better or worse, knowing where the picture came from because I never got an answer to that I didn’t pursue it. I didn’t care. I just knew that picture wasn’t the person I was talking to and that’s pretty much all that mattered.
I feel like this episode is the epitome of “not today, pal”. Because Jaime really was not going to let Rob feel guilty about being successful. That’s a great friend. 🖤 I feel like sometimes we need to hear that from time to time.

A person's worth is not tied to their achievements; it's about how they treat others. The fact that Rob shows such empathetic thought, and perhaps has a bit of survivor's guilt with the hindsight of maturity, proves that he is very much a winner in my book.

I think I understand what Rob is saying. He knows he got lucky and without that luck he would be worst like others. That's actually scientifically proven, it's called "the myth of meritocracy". Many scientists are studying this.
I think the cure for that worry Rob has is to raise others without his luck. Produce that luck to others. Luck that if those people wouldn't have would make them end where he fears he would have ended. If he thinks he is not truly talented he could give money to poor talented people that without money would die poor and alone, in misery without the world seeing their gift of the universe, just like it has happened thousands of times.
If you give money to poor talented people you would definitely not be a loser.

You'll be out in the woods, and doing one of the worlds most dangerous jobs but it's very satisfying and brings you back to being very simple in a way. Success can only be assessed and felt on a personal basis, and self-assessment is often flawed. Judging yourself, based against your perception of friends likeness to you, is a flawed parameter. Sure, I get the notion that you had lucky breaks, but to downplay specific, personal choices you have made to arrive at this point in life cannot be discounted. Success, for yourself, can't be measured by anyone but you. One man's trash is another man's gold.

Jamie, you’re very successful actress. You’re a smart talented mother of two and a good friend but your way off on this one says that he has a loser mentality now I don’t know him personally, but I have to agree because I have a loser mentality as well with that, said, Rob has all these benefits that happen to him early in life, you can say he looked into it. You can say that he was smart. He made the right choices but if he says he has a mentality, You have to take his word. 😂

College in america sounds a bit.... if you complete your assessments properly....... what's the issue?
Is there a high occurrence of MS in Hollywood? In a particular age group? Is there some unknown causality? Or just seems that way off the top of my head?
It seems weird right? It kind of happens in small groups, I have theories about it...I have two close friends that have it, then I was diagnosed with it a couple of years ago. What are the odds that some who has MS has friends with it? Seems pretty sus to me. What are the odds that anyone has two friends who randomly developed it?
From what we know ms is genetic
There are many studies that close friends are gravitated to eachother for a multitude of reasons including autoimmune /genetic similarities subconsciously recognized wether visual/smell / etc
There are though, virsuses involved with ms like ebv and hhv-6 that are contagious.

Podcasting is not the same as television. MeSsy is the name of the podcast. So that is like the motto or tagline. Did you guys ask yourselves who your core audience is and how you could market it more broadly to them and stay true to yourselves and your own message and experience. A series of conversations. You should have learnt the actual recipe, blueprint, or formula before you thought of trying to bake that cake.
It needs to be defined properly to make sense. You look like you're just playing practice.
