Here's the method I've used so far on new characters: Ailments are completely busted early on and will carry you through the campaign almost all the way to Lagon easily, so you want to prepare equipment that create lots of stacks of ignite, bleed, poison... and doesn't have a level requirement. Around Lagon, the effectiveness of those items starts slowing down so it's time to pick up equipment on the ground and slowly build resistances and affixes that support your build, putting the leveling items back in the stash as you find their replacement. Until Lagon, play whatever makes the most hits as fast as possible on your class. The uniques will prioritize ailments generation, speed, dodge and a little leech: Weapon: Firestarter's Torch (Easily the best leveling item with the spreading flame chance and bonus against enemies with spreading flame) Armor: The Kestrel Shield: Close call Rings: Arboreal circuit x2 (crazy speed and the illusory trees are awesome) Amulet: Bleeding heart (unless you cast spells, then dont') Belt: Thorn Slinger or Vipertail Gloves: Avarice (for the leech and resists) Boots: Lessons of the Metropolis Relic: tome of elements If you don't have these items, you can get them from the merchant guild. Without legendary potential, they only require rank 3 to be equipped and your rank is account wide so it's very easy to attain, even without trying, with a character that does monoliths. You can join the guild on your new char in the first town and put the gear on. It's smooth sailing from there.
Thanks so much for this, I've played so many alts and although I wanted to play a Shaman, it just felt soooo much weaker than literally every other class & mastery. I just wasn't dealing much dmg and my survivalbility was just crap when compared to any other of my alts.
lol this is ok but my brother Minion build just literal brakes the game dont how he did it but at lvl 58 he did 10k golem damage and crits did 50k and skeletons 2k to 5k then mages 6k now hes 80 he does 1 mil to 6 mil damage with the big guy i dont know how he made this build but it is insane i am gonna ask him to upload a video on it once he reach level 100
@@Rane501 thats what i mean i thought he was cheating but hes playing online with me so it cant be it since everyting online is server sided no cheats works online
