You’ll get there!! I admire your courage to start over to make yourself happier in the long run! So many people stick with the same career field because it’s comfortable but they end up miserable. Consider your situation a huge opportunity! Best of luck to you!
Been watching since 2021 and been loving it. Can't wait to leave PA and start government. Really an insiring person. Your part of the reason I became an accountant.
Heaven when our Government assigned auditors along with the aide we were giving to Papua New Guinea. I know they received a frosty reception and a lot of push back on the ground. Do you have to go through anything like this on a new job?
My division only performs routine audits on the entity’s financial statements each year, so our clients know we’re coming. But, it is very normal to have pushback when the auditors arrive. Not everybody is welcoming, especially when we have to request a bunch of documents and things for them to gather for us on top of their regular job duties. Some of our other audit divisions only perform audits when they’re needed or when issues arise, and in that case, they are very unwelcomed and fight a lot of adversity to get their jobs done. It’s all part of being an auditor!! It would be the same as the IRS showing up to your front door to audit your tax return. You know they’re doing their job but you’d still rather they never showed up haha
@@HeavensAudventure I'm not an accountant but have studied accounting so have an appreciation for what you do and how everything dovetails together. Obviously If you find evidence of people cooking the books you have to be tough enough to follow through and clean up the mess. I would imagine this would be made easier if you have another auditor working with you on the job for backup. Anyway thanks for the great video, I think ultimately the job you do behind the scenes is amazing and is honest lawful work, as opposed to Tax collectors who cant always claim the same thing. ua-cam.com/video/1UCcW0RoNdc/v-deo.html :)))))
Ugh, Trying to find a job at 54. Starting a new career. I am currently learning.

Aw so happy to hear. Accounting can be fun! 🤓 and if it’s not, you gotta make it fun!
The firm I work for started using Becker CPE last year! Super easy to use.
