- This week we are looking at my part 4 of building a LEGO medieval diorama for Bricks in the Six 2024! I have finished the second floor which includes a map room, balcony over the main foyer, seating room as well as a library!

This castle is becoming immense and so it should be as castles generally are. The colour change of the walls is a great idea and detailing which would often be forgotten about. In fact the details in general are so well thought out and keep your attention to find more.

This is definitely my biggest castle to date, hence keep having to order more parts 😅 I love putting in all the details and it's wild looking back at my projects from a couple years ago and seeing the changes and improvements over time. The Harp Build, no matter how small of a detail it is, was my favorite, love your piece usage of that Plant / Decor piece in Gold!

I love these castle builds but truly, the super colourful and detailed walls really throw me off, they're just much too messy looking, and castles of the time even on a historic angle would have been smoothed stone or plastered/washed over, and we only see castles as these stoney messes due to them being mostly ruins. A time accurate castle wouldn't have this much clutter detailing in the brickwork, it's a real visual eyesore for me personally
@BraveLittlePixel thanks for the feedback, although those reasons are why I love this style. I don't fully go for historical accuracy either, just whatever comes to my mind to create, usually including lots of fantasy inspired detailing.
Fortunately there are many artists with different styles to suit different preferences 👍
