Did Roy deserve his cake after that trip? Or should he keep off the cake for a while after all that complaining 😂
Please do keep sharing with us your favorite spots and hidden gems, we'd love to check them out!

Hiya guys, great video to start my week off with. I hope you’re both well?
The house looks to becoming along well, it really does have a lot of options for using the spaces, I mentioned it before but I do especially like the little loft area you have.
Great to see you’re back out hiking again and enjoying exploring the area, having the camper is such a great bonus, even if you hadn’t planned on staying overnight it’s gives you so much flexibility. I know you can probably get a hotel, etc at short notice but it does take away the hassle.
As always the camera shots you got were stunning. The area looks to be coming alive with Spring.
Thank you for sharing this excellent video with everyone. Very best of wishes to the two of you and have a great week🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇦🇺🇯🇵😊

Hello! We’re both doing well, thank you 😊 If not just a bit busy with daily life and finishing off settling in. Hope you’re doing well too!
Yes that’s so true, the camper is such a great thing to have while traveling. It definitely feels a lot more free to not have to worry about making it to a particular destination for the night or booking a hotel. I wonder if it’s the same in the UK or there’s more regulations on where you can stop with a camper?
As always, thank you for watching! 🌸

@@RoyandAimee hi guys thank you for the lovely reply. I’m doing well thank you, getting out for longer daily walks now the weather has gotten warmer and also drier too.
Spring has really taken bloom here and it’s great seeing the local trails and pathways with all the wild flowers and hearing the birds singing really adds to a peaceful atmosphere.
With regards to campers, you can pretty much park up anywhere you like overnight, there are certain local bylaws for certain areas like some lay-bys and they usually have information sign posted or is always available online.
Comparing motorway service stations from here in England/UK to Japan is completely different. The ones here are incredibly expensive, the first 2 hours parking is free but overnight would cost you on average 6000 yen (£30) for 24 hours. The fuel prices are much more expensive than usual filling stations too. If I do have to use one it’s literally in for the toilet, stretch my legs and back on the road again. The ones in Japan look some much more ‘relaxing’ compared to ours too.
If you’re happy to go out of your way by a few miles you can usually find local petrol stations and cafes quite easily. I think people get into a mindset of ‘must get there as fast as possible’ and to be honest this isn’t a huge country in size comparison to places like Japan, Australia and the Northern US and Canada, unless you’ve been abroad I think it’s quite easy to get into the mindset of England/UK being huge lol 😂
Gosh that got off on a tangent, over the last 12 months unless I’m going to visit family I don’t use a car. If I have to go into the the nearest big town/city I take the bus and will use the Supertram if going into Sheffield (very rarely). I’m fortunate that my local village and area has pretty much everything I need and can walk or cycle into the village in a few minutes. I try to walk everywhere and it really does help my overall mental health too.
Again I ‘rambled’ on a bit there lol 😂 thank you again for sharing your experiences of different areas of Japan. Having the views of the mountains is so inspiring, easy to see why wanted to move and live where you are now. Have a great week guys 😊

Haha no! I appreciate the explanation of how it's like in the UK/England. It's nice to hear that if you get off the main highways, you can find some nice local facilities. If you can afford to take the time, it feels like that's the better way to go. We often get surprised comments from Japanese friends when we say we went on a 4/5 hour roadtrip on the weekend. They think that's quite far to go but we're like you've gotta do those distances to get anywhere in Australia 😂
Totally agree that getting out and walking places can be great for mental health. Sounds like you've got the ideal setup in your village! 😊 Hope you have a lovely end to your week!

I am glad I watched this video - I got excited to hike the alps after watching your videos, but it seems like hiking the alps this week wouldn't be ideal if snow is present.

Yeah things should be starting to become less snowy over the next few weeks and then it'll be perfect for the start of summer hiking 😊
