Hi from Chalkidiki Greece General Hospital.... Why some times sterrad NX plasma sterilisation cancels sterilization cycle and shows red screen...? Are the items inside wet...? What ca i do for this...?
This video shows so many wrong processes. First, you would never sterilize a wrench as there is no IFU for it. Yes, there is a chemical indicator on the pouch however that is not a class 5 indicator, so he does correctly put a chemical indicator into the pouch. Second item is that you CANNOT re-sterilize an already sterile item. The Datex - Ohmeda Central Temp Probe that he is placing in the Sterrad is a SINGLE USE ITEM and cannot be reprocessed. There is a number 2, inside a circle with a line through it - right on the package that tells me this is a single use item. The manufacturer does not allow for re-sterilization. Once expired it MUST BE DISCARDED not re-sterilized. The Third item that is incorrect is that the Aptimax tray MUST BE WRAPPED prior to placing inside the Sterrad. By not wrapping the tray the item does not remain sterile once removed from the sterilizer. I actually had to stop watching this video as the incorrect information being displayed was too much.
