Hi Dr. Ben, thanks for this video. I just discontinued TRT after 5 months of treatment because it did NOT help at all and in fact flared up my T. My audiologist wants me to continue but I am upset and feel I wasted money - I tried SO hard. The microphones are a disaster for me - I HATE them. I don't want to hear amplified sound at all - it's awful. Even the devices without microphones started to spike my T terribly. Now it's worse than ever. I am in total resistance now. My hearing loss is minimal in the high range - I am a professional classical musician. Are you sure hearing aids are the answer for everyone????

The most clinically validated treatments involve cognitive behavioral techniques, hearing devices, and sound therapy. Alternative treatments that I recommend are holistic mind-body techniques designed to ease the nervous system. When the charged physiological and psychological reaction is eased, the tinnitus usually gets softer too. Hope that helps Melanie.
