Simon needs to snap out of it and stop putting his friend on a pedestal. Sure, Kenwright passed away, but let's not forget that he wasn't exactly a stellar chairman for Everton Football Club. He's the one who brought in Farhad Moshiri, and he was the guy calling the shots day in, day out. I'm sick of everyone blaming Moshiri alone when Kenwright is just as, if not more, responsible for the mess at Everton. The fact that Everton fans have been protesting against the Board and Owner for three seasons straight speaks volumes about the frustration with how things have been handled.
Moshiris biggest mistake was not sacking kenwright and the whole board from day 1

"Clubs" ?
This 777 lot will be a disaster for Everton. Great club, passionate fans, great city. They deserve better than this lot. Wouldn’t trust them at all. Not one bit.
I'm born in Birkenhead, but Everton is a great old club. But sadly it's been badly run for years now. Only Everton football club has its self to blame, for were they are now. Been poorly run for years, it's such a shame.
And depending on we're your from on the Wirral folkes means this guy has atleast 14 toes 😂😂😂
Just kiddin mate 😊
@@jamiesomers3078they only have webbed toes in Birkenhead
Good to hear that Simon regards Everton so highly as an English football institution.
With the new stadium Everton will rise once again, whether it takes a couple of years or more.
They just recruited poorly and paid the price for it.
Nothing to do with recruitment. Premier league not letting mitigating circumstances into their judgement. The overspend, less than Forest's by the way, causing the ten point penalty, was for interest rates on stadium development. Nothing to do with players. By building a stadium, that will increase our profit and increase our sustainability, we have been punished. With a sporting sanction, when the overspend neither sought nor gained a sporting advantage.
Everton lost 270 million. Don't pretend it was just 20 mil. Plus, the Evertons accountant team tried fudging numbers.
Cheaters never prosper. Ypu cheated suck it up.
@@jonhunter8737 nobody has any sympathy for everton because you were one of the clubs who voted for this nonsense, and you spent more than forest, over the three years, if anyone should feel hard done by ts forest
@jonhunter8737 I think the OP was referring more to the fact that over the last 6 years you guys spent something like half a billion quid on players that actually made you go backwards as a club. That has EVERYTHING to do with recruitment.
@@johnbowles5399 Can't disagree, however, for the reporting period, the trend of expenditure was on a continuous downward path. Indeed we are currently bottom three for net spend. I would love to see how chelski get out of their mess, having spent a.billion. And they have also admitted to illegal payments, in the millions, which the Prem have gone very quiet on. However, poor management doesn't equate to the overspend that they were charged with. Have you counted up player sales on that period?? Our overspend was interest payments on loans to build a new stadium, you know, something that will help our profit and sustainability!! Madness
So sad to see such a historic English club fall so bad
same thing has happened with villa but they have bounced back ,just cycles even though Everton have been teetering for a few years
Everton need to start again. They're moving like a championship team these days.
I am a everton support I have to agree with you I have support this club for 50years some pain still to come but I will always be a blue 💙
@@jamesmcdaid6124Everton will be fine they will stay up I'm sure of it. I can never imagine them not in the prem been there my whole life and I always love the Liverpool Darby.
There's no way 777 should pass the owners and directors test. They failed to pay their players at Standard Liège earlier this season (not sure if they've started again)
This club still has to endure the lawsuits
Badly run for a period of time?
How about over 30 years since they won the title in the 80's?

As a pundit, Simon Jordan has all the right advice and answers for running everybody else's football club, but not a clue about running his own.
why does Jim sound like he's having a Monica from Friends orgasm when he's talking about Farhad and the takeover
Been watching old football vids..my God what great days they were!! Proper players with proper tackles and getting straight back to their feet..snowy pitches with orange ball...compare that to the ugly sportswashing filth we have today
It's soo commercial now the players are literal ken dolls that drop tools and simulate like there in competition for an oscar. The price we pay for globalised football clubs I suppose...
This isn't slamming! I think Simon was quite fair in regards to our current situation
Fall from Greatness? If Everton FC were a ship, the "Fall from Greatness" set sail from the Mersey decades ago...then, hit an iceberg.
Personally I hope we dodge 777 as they will just asset strip the already limited squad - say goodbye to Pickford, Branthwaite and Onana add in DCL and that’s the whole spine of the team !!
Pickford wouldn’t be missed !!
Simon saying Everton's spending has been a disaster... Yet he thinks Bohley is a genius 😂
He doesn't, he claimed Boehly wasn't an idiot due to things like depreciation keeping them in profit. But he said he is running Chelsea poorly.
when did he say that?
@@raquille1He's saying it NOW.
At the beginning of Boehley's tenure SJ was singing his praises, saying he'll get it right and all other clubs are just jealous....lol
Simon Jordan is the poster boy of ownership failure

Everton will come good in the end
Well they haven't since 1986/87
Oh Simon. Your mate Kenwright was a massive part of the problems at Everton.
It should be the owners getting sanctioned and not the clubs.
So you have no idea how this works obviously! 😂
Simon spot on usmanov was real owner take it easy on us tho wasn't us scousers on the graft this time was Russian warlord boys COY COYB 💙
Simon you talk cr*p with the most perfect grammar.
Everton have had big problems for years and it's not all down to the owner Moshiri!... the whole boardroom are at fault too, also too many managers and too many poor signings resulting in a total disaster! 😢
EVERTON FOR EVER.❤
Says the poster boy who got crystal palace bankrupt
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Good stuff.
Even as an Evertonian, I can’t disagree with Simon.
Never said a bad word against Kenwright though
Moshiri forced in his opinion for recruiting. Recruiting was awful. Buying high selling low doesn't work long
Everton will be alright if they can survive in the PL long enough to move into the new ground.
If not, they're in danger of becoming a football relic despite their history.
Can they stay up? Tough with their current squad which is a long way below PL quality.
We just have to face facts, we aren’t a top 6 team , we are a mediocre team at best , if we go down it will be a disaster!!
The only thing that's been slammed here, is Moshiri. Jordan is actually quite balanced and hasn't slammed Everton football club at all.
115 and counting
Blame the players no one else
Everton are the posters boys for how to put on a complete & utter sh!tshow. Has any club in the history of football spent that sort of money for the return on it they've had?... & that's not even mentioning the gigantic hole they've put themselves in since that 600/700mill splurge. They were safely in midtable before Moshiri. It's truly a feat what they have achieved since Moshiri came in. I called it with him being the next Tony Fernandes but he surpassed him.
I feel Aston villa at the end it randy larners tenure might or Tony Xia? But yea...not many I can think of
Can’t be many worse run clubs in top flight history. But worth correcting that the net spend on transfers is nothing like 600/700 million. 2016-2019 we wasted obscene amounts of money, and inflated the wage bill hugely, but the net spend 2020-2024 is the lowest of any bar the promoted teams, which is why the teams now regressed so much.
You can thank the red shite for our demise after getting us kicked out of Europe in the eighties, we've never really recovered from it.

@@HumanBeingsRThinkingBeings I think Liverpool just outgrew Everton. 20 trophies since Everton last won a cup in 95'.
I’m a blue mate, but this is nonsense. It’s a shame the 85 team never got their chance, as they would have been favourites for the European Cup. But Everton made shocking decisions from 87 onwards and are responsible for our own demise.
Anti Everton White since Moshiri blew him out.
“Poster Boys for Sanctions?”
Surely that title belongs and will belong to a team that history is going to have a very, very dim view of, and it isn’t Everton

oh NOW simon is giving out about Everton???? hahahahaha talksport must want more ratings and algoryhtums do they???? tosspots
Everton have lost their identity. Fans attacking board members, the tasteless defense of Gylfi and now financial mismanagement. Madness.
Let's get it straight no fans attacked the board
Who defended Gylfi? And who attacked a board member? None of that happened.
Another one who makes stuff up or believes made up stuff, well done. do you avoid Telephone masts? What defence was that of a player they suspended him straight away and lost a transfer fee that would have wiped out the £19.5 million overspend, and by the way no charges where brought against the player so you really are clueless on so many things aren't you.
Why lie? It's so weird.
Greatness???? Haven't won a single pot for almost 30 years 😆
It would be great to see Everton + Liverpool combine so merseyside could challenge the Manchester giants.
fall from greatness? were they ever great? and when?
9 league title what has your team done?
7th most successful club in England.
9 league titles. 7 times runners up. Every season bar 4 in the top flight since the birth of football in 1888. European trophy winners. Adidas European team of year 85 (heysel ban prevented European cup) 14 FA cup finals. Only club stadium in England to host World Cup semi..about to move into new 53k Riverside stadium. Huge fanbase...who is your team?
30s 60s and 80s all had great Everton teams. Champions 1914 and 1939...twice world wars blocked more league titles. Champions and ECWC winners 85 followed by Heysel again denying Everton.
Dixie Dean 60 goals in 1 season when strikers were literally getting kicked off the pitch.
Everton voted for the rules they broke. Why are they crying so much
Because unlike all championship, and league 1 and 2 that got deducted points Everton think they are better than that 😂
I see you are another one who does not know the whole story just the headlines, EFC overspend was £19.5 million on a new stadium, EFC lost the main sponsor because of the Ukraine War (they also lost money with the naming rights because of war) they also lost over £20 million because a player they where about to sell was suspended because of a police investigation and after a year no charges where brought an the player was out of contract and left the country. EFC have spent over £50 million to preserve Grade 2 listen buildings at the site of the new stadium a stadium that the FA and UEFA want use for Euro2028, so maybe you now get an idea of why the PL is corrupt, EFC get charged in no time meanwhile Man City 115 charges going as far back as 2009 with 7 of those charges the same as EFC and NFFC and YOU think everything is OK and EFC should just keep quiet eh,
Brilliant reply 💙👏👏👏
The peoples club. Can't build a stadium, can't protect board members, can't fill their stadium, can't pay for a new stadium, can't win a game, can't win a cup, can't get good sponsors, cant retain talent, cant get into Europe.
"Can't fill their stadium" your clueless
Get banned from Europe for nothing.
It makes a mockery of the Premier league
Every finger crossed the 777 deal is the final straw that breaks Everton's back and sends them down to the Championship. They've survived by the skin of their teeth so many times over the last 20 years. Their fans written statement in support of a reduction in the original points deduction was embarrassing. The amount of pissing and moaning from them is nothing short of a disgrace.
