  • Beaver oil sacs and the oil within them have long been known as an attractant for a wide variety of furbearers. In this video I process oil sacs and prepare them for use in trapping lure.

    Great video 👍. Thank you for sharing recipes available to every hunter. I live far away in the remote Siberian wilds)) but even to me, a person who speaks another language, it became clear how to make this yummy))

    What no link to the book?? Trapper J here on youtube just put a lot of them through a meat grinder. And grounded the whole thing up for his scent baits he sales. Old blender not the one you use in your house?? hahahahaha
    Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up as a support

    Well thank you but you leave us hanging, so what else do you add to the beaver sacks? Do you let them rot? What else is the next step? We started something about your immediate didn’t finish it

    as an experimental coyote & fox bait, I'm planning to grind beaver oil sacks and mix it with freezer burnt meat - possibly venison or moose. What's your opinion ? I appreciate it !

    Hey I was wondering if I should use salt or citric acid when I'm making a lure out of stuff like chicken grease, ground walnuts ect

  • @treyhumphrey3927

    I bought some lure online and it honestly seemed to scare everything away so I'm pretty deadset on making my own out of what the critters are more used to around here

    Why dilute your sac oil with anything ????

    • @trappingtoday
      @trappingtoday  2 роки тому

      I don't typically dilute the oil, it makes a great lure used straight.
