I built this kit a few months ago. I like it but as you stated the usb port is useless. I agree its stupid to include that then. My other issue with this is you got to take apart the radio just to replace the batteries, which is annoying.
Do u get source code that runs on the uC, so u could actualy learn and modify something? Because the onlything it seams u learn here is how to solder, and u dont even get good FM radio at the end (there exist way better radio chips like TEF6687 With analog (heterodyne) radio kits u at least have chances to play and modify the device (u can change filters, add stereo, rds, etc
No, unfortunately it's just a basic learn to solder kit. It's actually a decent enough radio. Good kit for beginners and kids tho. Instructions are in depth enough to convey what's going on
I have this same kit...and I'm a girl AND subcribed,cheers!
I can't wait to see what other sh*t you make. :)
Cool job buddy.

Yeah it's nice looking and works well but the battery thing is stupid. It is pretty loud tho
@LetsMakeSt-ll2wx it is rather loud and sounds decent.
Amazing. Wow technology. Everything on a chip lol
Maybe I should build one of these. My radio is so old, I just got the news that The Beatles split up.
🤣
