They keep adding these lifts and apartments etc trying to revitalize the city but guess what. It doesn't change the neighborhoods in very very close proximity of the area you are in. Recently the Myers and rhodes building was a victim of gunfire. I grew up myself in Lynchburg but settled down with my family and business about half an hour away in Amherst. Much calmer area and low crime. Downtown Lynchburg just isn't where I'd consider a "nice" area.
Totally agree. Had to drop off a Uhaul in downtown Lynchburg recently in the middle of the night and there were some sketchy individuals doing very sketchy things. It’s a great reason to keep your tools on you, if you know what I mean!
I very much appreciate your perspectives about safety as someone having lived there. My daughter also chose to live in Amherst when she and her family moved into the area.
lol. Downtown Lynchburg is beautiful? lol. Yeah the tallest building downtown looks like crap Windows faded pain peeling etc. do you know WHY houses are so cheap. ?lol NO ONE wants to live there!!!!! Supply /demand buddy. And Falwell u us another reading to STAY AWAY
Really enjoy these videos. So much history in these places. After I watch them it makes me want to research more about the town! Enjoy your travels!

I love San Antonio, haven't been there in years but need to get back and visit.
Not missing much. Believe me
I have relatives there. Good place to live. Lots of history.
So do I.
Lynchburg is cool and unique.
No interstate.
The Texas Inn.
Lots of bigotry and closed minded people too
I enjoyed this very much. Thanks Jack for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
I live here all my life and thats not true.but we need more soul food places to eat at.
So I guess you would like to see thousands more people pour into our community by advertising it? Yeah, that's what we need tons more people 🙄
