Always it's just crazy how it works ! 😭 I leave my cornrows in 3 to 4 months grows every single time ppl look at me crazy when I tell them I do that lol
@@shardaemitchell3053 yes if you are careful and patient with the detangling process after that taking down 4 month old hair. You will definitely retain more length
I have a plug in heating pad/cap thingy that works great for deep conditioning. Quiet, doesn't heat up the house, and just sits on my head. No straps. Got it off Amazon. Thanks for the video!
I don't think I can leave my protective styles in for 3 months or more😅. I'm really afraid that my hair would break off. At least keeping it for one month is enough for me. Even if I will go that long, I will finger detangle in between and re-braid it. But I really like the way you take your time to detangle your hair. You are really patient and as a result of that, you've retained a lot of length🥳🥳. Keep doing what you do🙌🙌🙌. You are really an inspiration🤩🤩🤩 to us coily girls.
@@CoilyDiaries the take down🥺. I've never left my protective styles in for that long, so I'm just afraid of the accumulation of a lot of shed hair overtime.
@@mystiquecoils5389 even if you accumulate shedding your hair will still grow because you haven’t manipulated it in those 3 months. If you’re keeping your hair for only a month and still braiding it in between (manipulating it) how are you retaining length??
@@mesarypaul5824 well I still retain my lenght😂, I actually prefer mu method of detangling in-between, rather than keeping it for an extended period of time.

All hairs come through the scalp from different sized circles. The hairtyping model used to categorize different hair strands is misleading and outdated. Ref : Pamela Ferrell @CurlyHairCrisis channel
Shedding you mean? For 3 months I think that it’s normal shedding. We are looking at almost 10000 hairs for three months and the longer the hair the more hair you have. Also I retained a lot of length too🤷🏽♀️
Protective styles are the way to grow longer thicker hair
Absolutely!

Welcome 🙏🏽
Your hair has grown so long. I have been following you since your hair was very short. Wow I am encouraged
Thanks so much! Glad you are encouraged
These steps are very important I learned my lesson before when I didn’t do these steps my hair was thin after taking out my braids never again
So true!
PRO TIP: Add conditioner before taking down will help immensely

Let me say this. People with most type 4 hair, keep it in cornrows( renew them bimonthly)... or " break out " da "Creamy crack".
👍
Beautiful hair my dear
Thank you 🙏🏾
You're the first person I've ever seen, actually wash their hair while it's in corn rows
ahahah interesting
I loved things video so much! So after washing your hair, which method do you use to dry your hair ? Do you use a blow dryer or you air dry your hair?
usually hair dry but hooded dryer attachment sometimes
