- I never realized how awesome this tune was until I taught it to a classroom full of 5th graders. Upon playing it for the first time with them it became apparent that I didn't know the chords to the tune, so I started reharmonizing it, which became an obsession of mine with this song in particular. It just so happens that it makes a great samba.
I work demolition and love my job so much... This reminds me of how the machines sound to me all working together... I can't get enough of this and how happy I feel listening to your music
Nick - absolutely fantastic!
Thanks so much Tommy. I really appreciate you giving it a listen.
It doesn't get any better than this.
I miss hearing you play! So glad I can watch your performances. Be well, friend.
Thanks Dave. Super kind of you to say. Hope you’re well.
love this
Very enjoyable music.Awesome!
That was great. Thanks.
Can't like hard enough!
Great solos here, Nick! It looks like you lost one of the heads on one of your mallets during the marimba solo! I’d be so unnerved by that but you handled it like a pro.
Thanks so much. Yeah, that was one of many heads that went flying that night. I was pretty used to it. Check out the video for burning down the house. Three in one tune
Hi Nick! Wonderful performance here! Can you tell me who joined you that evening on Drums and Organ?
Thanks Eric. And thank you for bringing to my attention that I hadn’t credited these guys. That’s andy Sanesi on drums and brian Charette on organ. We had made a record the previous year.
Sounds Fantastic! What mallets are you using?
+Matthew Rockwell Sokolic I love these mallets. They are made by Innovative Percussion. We're working together to create a signature mallet which seems to be a blend of the Anders signature mallet and their 251.
Damn, why is this not more poular?
this is a great shoot camera credits? Ricky?

do you have any tips for reharmonsing and making stuff sound jazzy?? I am slowly moving into some improv and would love some advice!
If you want your reharmonizations to sound more like jazz, you should think in terms of the melody being notes that are the7th, 9th, 11th or 13th of the chord as opposed to root, 3rd or 5th. Take "Mary had a Little Lamb", for example, the melody starts on an "E" in the key of C, so instead of using a C major chord to harmonize with that note, try using an FMa7, or Bb7#11, or Bmi11 or F#mi7b5. Move to the next note and apply the same logic. Remember, some chords in Jazz are used just for their color, but don't forget that there is a logic to a good chord progression - Tension and release is key. I hope this helps.
any chance i can get sheet music for this tune?
Hi. Did I ever send you the sheet music?
