Yeah ironically despite how Hollywood likes to depict Hades as evil in mythology and in the books he’s actually chill in fact most of the time he’s just chilling in the underworld.
EXACTLY, Hades is not Evil, and is one of the least menacing Gods
i think people see him as the devil even though they have no heaven or hell it’s just the underworld. i don’t know why people are scared of him.
(SPOLER : kinda but and explanation to a question) Poseidon is solely focused on Percy because he hasn't had a child since it's forbidden for the Big 3 gods (Zeus, Poseidon ,and Hades) to have any half-blood children, that oath was made 90 years ago. Percy is the only half-mortal son of Poseidon since that oath was created.
I can't wait until they do book two.
Please, forget the movie. It has very little to do with the book. The series has some changes of course, but it sticks close to the source material. It's critical that the characters are young, because it comes into play through the series.
So, to your questions: Percy is Poseidon's only living demigod son (as Chiron said, he's a "forbidden child" of the sea god. Poseidon has had demigod children in the past). Annabeth SHOWS the pearl to to Percy and Grover, she doesn't give it to them. "I trust your dad" means "I know it will work." The master bolt APPEARS in the backpack when Percy gets close to the entrance to Tarturus (while saving Grover). Percy tells that to Hades, remember? Ares did that - it's the sort of thing a god can do. Ares knows Percy still has the bolt; that's why he shows up on the beach. And no, demigods are NOT stronger than gods. Even a god like Dionysus can snap his fingers and make a demigod drop dead. The gods do, however have flaws that can be taken advantage of, as we will see.
I think your format is hindering you in watching this. You've missed a LOT of the subtlety of the series by constantly talking over it. It was never meant to be pure action. I can understand you're not enthusiastic about it, but you're not the target audience. The movie aged the characters up because it was aiming more at your demographic. The series is following the book in making it suitable for families. It has a lot for older people as well as kids, but as I noted, they're subtle, thought-provoking rather than exciting.
Anyway, many more of your questions will certainly be explained in the final episode.
In a weird way, Hades portrayal kinda reminds me of how they portrayed Lucifer from the show Lucifer. Rather than being evil incarnate they show him as a some what normal guy
It's five books. So, one season per book. And if the show continues to do well, which it will, since the author is involved. There will be more shows to continue Percy Jackson and other characters.
My main concern is their age, thru 10+ books they aren’t even 18 yet 💀

Guys the reason him and ares are fighting if you heard hades has nothing to do with the bolt his helm of darkness was stolen(not annabeth hat) Ares took the bolt and after Percy meets first time realizes Percy is already blamed and gives Percy bolt in bag but percy does not know also you guys dont like gods heads up the gods in this show can present themselves how ever they want to
Annabeth never gave the pearl away. She just showed it to them that she can get out of there so they don't need to worry about her, she won't be stuck there.
Hades is not the Devil like in Christianity, he is just a guy in management. He works on keeping things moving as best and as organized as possible. Sure hes very powerful but there is no reason to flaunt it since he has no one to impress. Idk why the movie depictied him as Satan in that one scene but Hades has never (even in ancient mythology) been evil. If you are thinking of the god of Death that is Thanatos.

Despite the changes, this is MUCH closer to the books, so if you remember the movies, you can see how inaccurate the movies actually were, since Hades was the evil guy in the movies but in the books and this TV show his not.
Poseidon doesn't have any other demigod kids. Percy is the only one alive. Ares comment about other kids was referring to Poseidon's kids from way back in history.

we actually do meet one of poseidons other kids who’s still alive (the old guy in the shop that traps and kills demigods) ares just told percy poseidon has had a lot of kids he stopped caring about but he didn’t say they were all dead(90yrs is still enough time for someone to be alive)
The guy who plays Schmidt in New Girl has a show called Neighbors. It has like 5 seasons now. And has been seen in american horror stories in the fifth season
Not sure if youll read but I want you guys to know Ares is not the father of Annabeth, she is the Daughter of Athena who is the Goddess of Wisdom while Ares is the God of War, if Ares and Athena made Annabeth then that would make her a god which she is not, Hercules is the best example I can give, he IS a god but not one of the big 12, there are more gods out there but they dont have to be the Big 12. So Athena is the mother and she has a mortal father.
But Im sure others have already said this but Im gonna throw it out there is case someone hasnt.
As a book reader the movies suck and the series has the heart we need more time in the seasons to let it breathe.
Bro God of War is making people dumb, the gods are not like despicted in the first 3 games of Gow, some that many think are menacing aren’t in mythology and many that you think aren’t they are
I think the worst thing they had against them was the 30 min episode thing. All the traps the trio walked into in the books are almost immediately neutralized in this show. It’s like the trio automatically figures out the traps in the series. Idk if it was time constraints or what but I really would’ve liked to see a bit more struggle from our protagonists

Gods are overall stronger however Percy is a top 3 demigod . Yes ares is big and strong however he has no defense against an ocean being thrown at him .
Poseidon CURRENTLY only has one living demigod child. However he is very old, and of all the gods, has actually sired the most demigod children during his lifespan. He would have more, except for the big three pact with Zeus and Hades, which Zeus broke in siring Thalia.

9:13 Percy's fatal flaw is personal loyalty, and his self sacrificial tendencies come up a lot.
“This show doesn’t grasp me” you lack soooo much information and lore from the books that y’all spend so much of your time watching it confused. It so much more enjoyable having read the books cause you understand each characters personality and the reason behind a lot of their decision making.

Each pantheon's offspring work slightly differently, Nephilims or angel offspring do not function on the same logic as Greek demigods or half-bloods. Demigods are not as strong as their parents, but they are more resourceful, and do not have their parent's cosmic restrictions.

Yeah they didn't do Hades very well in this show. Although he is distinctly NOT evil, he is supposed to imposing and intimidating.
What happened is that the movies butchered Hades and made him a cartoonish villain, so the show overcorrected and wanted to make it VERY CLEAR that he wasn't a bad guy and was actually chill.
They did a similar thing with the Lotus Hotel and Casino scene, one of if not the only good scene from the movie, where they went as hard in the opposite direction as possible, which actually ended up hurting the show overall.

The Underworld is NOT Hell. All the mortal dead go there. The Underworld has different sections depending on what you did in life. There is a section for eternal punishment, but also eternal paradise.

The Captain Marvel movie was not great, no one faults you there. The Marvels was pretty entertaining in my opinion, nothing ground breaking or profound, but it was fun to watch, and very visually appealing. It was carried by the Khan's though. Captain Marvel was the least interesting part.

Since you want to know Luke stole the bolt . Ares caught him and instead of reporting him he kept the bolt . Episode 6 we see Kronos confronting Luke about getting the bolt taken from him . Kronos then enters ares mind to get him to work for him , Percy asks him if they were communicating through dreams in episode 8 . Percy has to be 12 because the whole book series is based on a prophecy that so be fulfilled when he turns 16 . Watching the movie or reading won’t give you the menacing gods you looking for because this story is not about them . Hades isn’t the devil he is the god of the underworld , underworld has heaven and hell , hell is Tartarus where Kronos is . Wanting a show of a 12 year old based on a book for middle schoolers to be full gore is insane , y’all watch too much anime. The show will obviously get darker because the problems will get real whereas in book 1 it was just about zues dick measuring contest and Percy has been a demigod for 7 days . Since you going to rush and watch the movies , no Kronos won’t rise in season 2 like the movies .
Show is very underwhelming, book is better (bc the books are always better), but I do think it has mostly to do with time. They're trying to condense an entire book into 20 min, 8 episodes so there's more tell and not enough showing. I also think because it's disney they're definetly outright saying things that in the book took a while to figure out. The Crusty's thing is a perfect example, they didn't walk in knowing where they were or that he even was a monster. Same with medusa. Same with literally every monster, which I get is odd for kids who should know that there are monsters chasing them so some of the "oh i know who you are" is fair. Specifically Medusa bc Aunty Em's is a dead give away.
Also we are entirely missing Percy's narration which was peak comedy and what made the books so fun for me personally. Hades was scarier in the books, but he wasn't evil or anything. Just like more intimidating than this, I think they're trying to fill the gap of Percy's funny internal monologue with comedy coming from the olympians like hades or Ares (he was also way more intimidating in the books, I'm pretty sure whenever he was around people would start fighting around him just because of his presence) but I don't think that works very well.
Hopefully they take more of the criticism into account for season two and beyond but honestly Sea of Monsters (book two) is the most boring for me so that season isn't going to be fun regardless.

Most part of the problema you said are either causes by the time of the episodios or by the fact Percy Isn’t narrating the series like the books. The first problem can be solved with more time in the episodes but the second one is very hard to solve. Involving a character’s thoughts in a story that is not particularly told in first person is harder than it looks, you need to transform those feelings or comments in all new dialogues, which takes great time of the episode, making things like action shorter, an making the writers have to come up with solutions, like making the child’s smarter than they are in the books.
Idc about giving away spoilers guys Luke was the one that stole the bolt and Aries was hoping the backpack with the shoes would drag them down to where Kronos is and give the bolt to him
