Hello Elizabeth, first I would like to say thank you so much for sharing your valuble information. I did watch this video and got the ball rolling and actually started my business through inc file. I noticed after going back to review my documents that they have my company address the same as my registered agent address. I did not choose the virtual mailbox option with my plan but I finally decided on a bank for my business so my question is would I use this registered agent address that they have attach with my business filing as my business phyiscal adddress or should I looking into a virtual mailbox like ipostal1. My concern is will my important documents still go to this registered agent address that inc file chose? Also if I chose to go with ipostal and change my business address do I need to automatically updated my address with my secretary of state?
Hm for the bank I agree that you want to make sure you actually get any mail. For banking I'd either go with a virtual mailbox (that you have access to easily) or just use your home address so you are sure you'll get it. For registered agent, the idea is that any legal docs (like a lawsuit complaint) that need to get in-person personally served or delivered will go to that, and then incfile will notify you. If you paid for the RA service they are required to do that.
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you for your wonderful videos! I was wondering if you still plan on releasing the video of you closing the LLC soon (if you do still plan on closing it)? Thanks!
Hi, I think I recorded it but didn't edit it yet, in the meanwhile here's a playlist on closing a business ua-cam.com/play/PLd0wcIHXfOTe3dkvsmMExs4VO2ywaU_WY.html
@@ElizabethPW hi am trying to create an account with novo banking ,… now they are saying that they need additional information for the process,… one of the options that i have available from incfil called the (operating agreement) …. Do i just forward that straight to them signed and dated ?
Curious would you know or what type of bank accounts to have an example some channels explain open a bank account but have 5 of them 1 pay yourself, 1 taxes, marketing etc etc
Hm well each bank account has its own fees, so it really depends on what you need for it to work for you. I would not have a separate ones for small categories like marketing (that just sounds overly complicated for a small business) but it can make sense to have a separate account for taxes, to make sure you set them aside. For payroll & paying yourself, at a certain point it would make sense to have a separate account for payroll, when you have many employees, but I would not do that just for one person unless it helps to set aside money for paying yourself.
Hello, I have a Jan that’s 14 years old that I’ve been using for my KDP account for the past couple years. It has not generated any money. Would it be wise to form it as a LLC because I want to do other business under my LLC as well or should I start over and establish or form a new LLC all together with the different EIN?
So if you already have an EIN (for your sole prop business) you'd need to get a new EIN for any new LLC, anyway. So if you want to do business as an LLC you'd form the LLC and get an new EIN for that new LLC.
CA State Filing Fee $75.00 Great video. It's the reason why I used incfile. The filling fee wasn't $5 but can't complain. I got the following. CA State Filing Fee $75.00 Business Address $29.00 Federal EIN Obtainment $70.00 Well anyways the reason I'm watching this video again is because of the NAICS Codes. Is it important to choose the correct one. Im stuck between NAICS Code 484220 or NAICS Code 484122
Hello! Thanks for the video. I have a question, I used INC FILE and a virtual address service since I'm a freelance videographer without a physical office. I Think every business need a business tax receipt, which is typically displayed in a public place. However, with a virtual address, how can I fulfill this requirement?
Whether you need a business license depends on your location -- check the state / county / city websites to see if you need a business license. But typically if you have no physical location, you can just put it up in your home office
For an LLC it depends on the state and how you file - could be email or download from a website or mail. For an EIN, if you file online you get it as soon as you file in the last screen, and if you file by mail you get it by mail
Thank you so much for taking the time out to share information

Have you had any issues getting mail with their virtual mailbox? I sent a couple of test mailings a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten anything.
I haven't been using the incflie virtual mailbox for my business, so can't tell you (I cancelled it so they didn't charge me)
@@ElizabethPW thanks. Are you using another virtual address or a real physical location?
Hi why the california state fee was changed from 5$ to 75$
They had a short time where CA didn’t charge the $70, but now it’s back

@@ElizabethPW great point i didn't expect additional fee's was thinking just one fee at the moment
Do they have a virtual office that I could go into
Do they have virtual office that I can have meetings
Hm I don't think so but to make sure, ask them in the chat at www.incfile.com/ (or push the telephone button on their site for a facetime call)
