- This one has been requested and suggested a lot. I'm always ready to dive into more of Ren. I was not completely ready for this one.
Amazing storytelling, but such heavy and dark stories. Anyways, this contains my reaction to the Tale of Violet. This song and story were amazing, but really heavy. I added a trigger warning to these reactions after getting triggered myself. take care of yourself and each other!
#sickboi is an amazing album that i still listen to almost weekly. But I haven't really gone back to the music @RenMakesMusic brought out before sick boi. So we will be doing this together on the channel. Suggest what I should check out from Ren next in the comments.

Ren had expressed a desire to do tales like this for Netflix. Can you imagine? Twilight Zone type stories set to music! Looking forward to more of your reactions. ❤
That would finally make netflix worth the money again, that would be insane tho. Maybe it can still happen, i mean niko got his mayor video on netflix, so maybe there now is a chance for Ren to work together with netflix or smth.
Either way this was masterful story telling. I loved all of it, so mind blowing that half the reactions i couldn't find the words to say anything 😅
Ren is a modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep watching - even when it gets physically uncomfortable during Violet’s Tale. And Ren uses this ability to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special.
Anyway great reaction! Now you get to wait in eager anticipation with the rest of us, cause Ren has said that he and his cinematographer Sam have plans to film a pilot to pitch to Netflix at some point. It was originally going to be while Ren is back in the UK after finished treatments in Canada and before moving to the US, but then he accidentally went and made an album that wasn’t planned 😅 All we know is that it will be in the same raw style as this trilogy, but that is enough for me to say that if Netflix doesn’t give Ren his own show, they are fools 😂
We might get another tale or even a series before that though cause Ren recently posed the question “Is it time for another tale?” which sounds like a hint… 👀
It was based on Ren reading an article about a young boy that stabbed a prostitute. Apparently, a police officer was quoted as saying it was a shame. Ren made the rest up. One must assume that Stevie either wasn't allowed to have the kids (prison) or took off without them. So, they probably went into the system. Both picked up by horrible different foster parents (or adoptive parents), and that's why they don't know each other.
There is so much about Jenny's Tale that doesn't come to light until the very end. Like realizing that she was a 14 year old, walking streets late at night in heels, just like she had so many nights before. It answers the question of why she wanted to escape.
There are connections all over the song. Like at the end of Screech's Tale he says that it ends, right at the start, two bodies lie lifeless lying two streets apart. They died on the same day, lying next to each other, just like they were born on the same day lying next to each other. The songs all start and end with similar lines and music, making each song a cycle, plus the whole trilogy a cycle, which is in itself about the cycle of violence. These kids had it going bad both from the nature aspect (Jenny froze while her mother was silent, Screech would rage when things didn't go his way and panic when he realized he went farther than he anticipated, just like his father) and the nurture aspect (again, why was Jenny returning from work in heels late at night at 14, and nobody seemed to be monitoring the friends and activities of Screech, at best, and quite possibly he might have been the victim of abuse himself).
To add insult to injury for Screech, I have read that there is a version of Screech's Tale that insinuates that the reason Patrick is not home and why Screech's girlfriend is busy is because they were with each other at the time.
Wow. The realization about jenny did not hit fully until just now reading your comment. But it makes a lot of puzzle pieces fall into place. Thank you so much for telling and explaining some things to me, i'm even more mind-blown by the tales now. Was that other screech version with patrick and the gf ever made or released or smth or did he just talk about it somewhere? It sounds insane but so logical at the same time.
There are even more levels to the tales than i realised listening to it. Thank you for enlightening me/filling me in about it all. 🙂
@@RandomDvcky Not sure if it was released, on one of his fan streams, or just a myth to be honest. I haven't come across it myself, but I have seen it mentioned many times in other reaction videos.
As you watch more Ren, you will start to see that even among unrelated songs he makes a lot of lyrical and visual connections to his other songs. He weaves all is stories together.
Jenny and Screech were brother and sister who did not know each other as they were seperated at birth and were put into foster care both grew up with troubled lives jenny who was a lady of the streets aged 14 who stayed quiet when attacked like her mother violet did and screech who was aged 14 who was violent like his father stevie was.. such a shame.. such a tragic tale ..that only Ren can tell...Ren got the idea from a true story in the papers of a young lad killing a street worker they were not related but then to have the imagination to tie it all together by inventing them as twins and violet being their mother is just pure genious imo...(Dominoes) is also tragic yet true...
That twist of them being the twins was insane and the way he sings/raps/tells it and conveys emotion as wrll as the use of the guitar made it so immersive that the twist hit even harder. Amazing that ren thought of this after getting the idea and how he conceptualized it. Mind blowing.

In an interview, Ren said that he’s writing something he hopes to get on Netflix. He said it was mix of Black Mirror and Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Finally a reason to get netflix again. Ren making movies and shows would be insane. I just gope if he does he won't be limited by netflix. They need to give yim full control for everything
