Tua isn’t the answer! He has everything right around him. He’s a system qb with no mobility or ability to improvise. Not to mention he has a weak arm and can’t make the outside deep throws!
Honestly, McDaniel has shown enough the last 2 years, given the injuries, to buy himself a few more years. Tua needs to go. Trade him for whatever you can get and start over with a new qb. Not sure who possible slips to their spot in the draft, but a guy like Nix or even McCarthy, or maybe Penix drops. Maybe you even give Thompson a shot next year, and try to get a QB in the year after's draft. The truth is, this offensive scheme doesnt' work with Tua against good teams, we know that for sure. Their defense, when healthy, balled out. Even tonight, with their entire LB core and d line out, they kept this team in the game going into the 4th quarter. When you have a high level Qb, they make up for a lof of other weaknesses, look at Straud in Houston. Keep McDaniels, invest in the D line and Oline in the draft, and hope a decent QB drops to you in the first round.
This is Tua with his full complement of weapons vs a good defense.

It’s not the hard knocks curse. Tua couldn’t play against good defenses long before Hard Knocks.

Tua sucks. Tua sucks. Tua sucks. Get rid of him now. Poor time management. They should have been running the hurry up offense from the beginning of the 3rd quarter. To many horizontal plays. The defense gives a lot of cushion and when we run a horizontal play they converge quickly.
I honestly beleive, McDaniels tried to build an offense to fit what he could get out of Tua. Quick passes, 1st reads, screen plays, etc. That works sometimes, but against good teams, they adjust quickly. Tua can't execute today's type of QB offense, and McDaniel's tried to fit his system with a deeply flawed QB. This was the best Tua will ever do, and that's not enough. Dump him for whatever you can get.
Tua and McDaniels lost this game by far. Terrible play calling and tua was disappointing.

The defense again played a respectable game holding KC to only 2 TDs. The defense made this game winnable. The offensive play calling and poor decisions by Tua lost it. To me Tua was never the answer.
Poor performance when it's all on the line. Dolphins looked the exact same tonight as they did last week. They're not mature enough to win big games. Something is off, someone needs to go. You can't blame tonight purely on defensive injuries. The offense was insanely poor tonight...just horrendous, atrocious. One score the entire game.
It's a sad end to a promising season. Defensive injuries impacted no doubt..but come on man.
