I changed to a mostly vegan diet a year and a half ago, and have been very happy with my decision. It's great to see a channel about rural living that also mentions a vegan diet. Rural and vegan are less common together in the US.
I've just discovered your channel this week and enjoy watching your videos. The scenery is stunning and I love how calm and peaceful your videos are. I have been often to the UK but not to Scotland yet, except for three days in Edinburgh. The only thing when visiting the UK that makes me feel a bit sad and shocked is the amount of plastic packaging that is used, especially for fruits and vegs. I've been vegan for about 8 years and before I was vegetarian for more than 20 years. I'm looking forward to watching all of your other videos 🙂
Discovered you recently, your videos are so refreshing. I’m an oldie, but can always pick up more tips. Hope you don’t mind me saying, bananas go off quicker if put with other fruit. A banana hanger is good, or just a separate bowl,xx I liked your recent make up video too, going to try merit make up too.x
Hi Molly My first view of your channel Thank you very informative. FYI Gittermary Johanson has a good video about organic food and plastic packaging and what has the greater impact. Nice to watch a vegan channel that isn’t sponsored by a silk company or a cashmere sweater company and where the author doesn’t slip the odd egg into her weekly food prep 🫤 Thanks again. Jane
I would think a i ore is probably more catered to tourists too which doesn’t help you. I’ve got an hour and 45 minutes drive to a big supermarket. It’s a full day trip. I try and do a monthly/ six weeks shop. In Nova Scotia all organic stuff in supermarkets is in plastic, it’s awful.
Hello I'm new on your channel and I love it! I'm in love with Scotland since I was a child. I'm French and I was so surprised to see the price of Alpro milk! Here in France it's about 2.30 euros a litre! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely life in your beautiful country. It makes me feel as I were in Scotland for a while. 😍
My mom used to make the most delicious butternut squash casserole at holidays. We didn't like sweet potato casserole, so she used the squash, with pecans and brown sugar and butter and cinnamon. So delicious.
Hi Molly, another fab vlog, thank you. I feel your pain with food packaging and always go for loose if available. Like yourself I have those reusable mesh bags, often sparks a conversation at the checkout😉. Whilst I don't live in a Tiny home, my kitchen is quite small and every inch has to work and also it would be great to see more content on meal planning. I adore my slow cooker and am often doing a butternut squash and chickpea curry in it...and those squashes never seem to go off do they 😉.xx
Recently noticed my tomato snobbery too, the vine tomatoes are so lovely and much more flavourful!! Most of your shop is stuff I would buy too haha Recently subscribed and looking forward to checking out your slow living videos too 🙂
Hello again Molly. I so enjoyed your vegan food shop, and your choices. The shelf prices listed on the Oatly and Soy milk are similar to what I pay at a supermarket in South Australia. I mainly buy my blueberries frozen as they are much cheaper than fresh and perfect for my morning rolled oats porridge. I also add a little sliced banana or apple and top with a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds. I cook my oats in water first and pour oat milk over the top before eating. My husband (like your partner) is also a meat eater so meals can be challenging in our house. He does eat far less meat than he used to and enjoys quite a few of my vegan recipes. I can never come to terms with a beautiful animal served up on a plate, there is no such thing as humane slaughter! Now I am looking forward to watching part two of your vlog following this. PS those strawberries looked beautiful! 🐾🦋
have you ever considered writing to the customer service about the packaging? I did it years ago, told my friends about it, gave them the email address and in the end the grocery stores are selling more unpackaged fruit and veggies now because they saw the demand!
Excellent daily activity video. Your vegan selections are neat. Am glad to hear you have a coop and good local store. We also purchase organic, especially produce. We are lucky to have 5 Whole Foods stores around us.
This was so interesting-I am sad, however, that the UK seems to have as much packaging as the US. For some reason, I thought it would be better. I love your tiny house!
I have a funny feeling I visited that first store way back in 2010 when I was visiting the area. Great haul. Always interesting to see what vegan products are available in different areas/countries (I'm in Australia).
Great video. I’ve been a vegan for over 3 years although I do now eat local farm eggs occasionally due to having a sensitive stomach. Didn’t know about the accidentally vegan garlic bread, a great find, so I will be buying that as I love garlic bread and miss having it. Thank you. Look forward to seeing your meal plan ideas. xx
Really good organizing!! I wanted to mention that my book arrived today: “Hare”! I had to order it as I’m in California… and I’m so happy I did; the art on the cover alone is lovely. :). I am just wondering, do you happen to know how difficult it is, if one buys a plot of land in UK, to build a small home to place on it? We have a sketch in mind, and it wouldn’t be small enough to be a tiny house on wheels, would be about 500 square feet. I just noticed that whenever there is property/land for sale in UK, if the planning permission is already given, the standard is usually a conventional home: 3 bedrooms/2 loos, etc., which is not what we want. Anyway, we are starting to research all of this, just wondered if you have any insight. Have a good week!
Ah I'm so glad you enjoy it! To be honest, we haven't got to that point yet as we aren't able to afford our own land at present, but I know others have so its certainly possible! I wish you the best of luck with it 😊💚
Its my own design available on my sustainable Teemill store :) hippy-highland-living.teemill.com/product/a-wild-soul-womens-crew-neck-long-shelve-t-shirt/
Organic comes in plastic so it isn’t cross contamiby toxins from regular produce! Always go for the organic thoigh amd write to the customer service, together we can change this!
How do you get your B vitamins. I found that I was exhausted being vegan. I'm pescaterian now, because the B vitamins in meat were keeping me from being to exhausted to go to work. I want to be vegan but B pills don't work well for me. What do you do?
Nutritional Yeast, vegan dairy products and meats could have loads of B vitamins if you buy the correct products but there are 3 different types of B12 supplements and different ways of supplementing like pills, liquid, spray and injection. There are so many ways to get B12. B12 deficiency exists in all groups of diets including pescaterian. Did you actually check your blood or are you like every other non-vegans online and go on feelings instead of facts?

Your Farm Food Shop is so cute. Looks like a gourmet shop! A lovely shop indeed.

Thank you lovely! That curry sounds lovely 😁💚
Oh, I am 100% a tomato snob 😅😅😅 They’re so good if they’re still on the little vines! Sending plant based love Stateside from the Pacific Northwest 🥰
Haha glad it's not just me!
I currently live in the French Pyrenees, so I really can't complain. But wow, your videos really make me want to move to Scotland. It looks beautiful!
Thank you! What a wonderful place to live!
I found your videos today Molly and just love them! 💗
Thank you! 💚
Great video. I am a mum of 4 teenagers. I wish I could live in a tiny home. One day when they all move out maybe. I will park up in my horse's field.
Sounds like a wonderful idea to me 😊💚
Recently noticed my tomato snobbery too, the vine tomatoes are so lovely and much more flavourful!!

Hi Molly enjoyed your video. Nice food haul. I've been a vegan for 5 years this November. ❤
Thank you! Good for you 😊
Very enjoyable and informative. Thank You.

Thank you lovely! Your breakfast sounds very yummy!
I'm not a vegan, but I have a mostly plant-based diet. I'm looking forward to part 2. Thank you.
Thank you for your comment 😊💚
I love how you have it all, I would have to make sure all the clips on your glass storage jars faced forward the same way😆 but then that's me x
I will have to go an inspect them now 😅
Your kitchen is so pretty. I love the color of your cabinets.
have you ever considered writing to the customer service about the packaging? I did it years ago, told my friends about it, gave them the email address and in the end the grocery stores are selling more unpackaged fruit and veggies now because they saw the demand!

5 stores sound great!
Oh! Yes the Richmond sausages are lovely……have you tried the sage and onion ones, and the barbeque sauce ones….they are all lovely x
I've not tried the others but I plan to now!
This was so interesting-I am sad, however, that the UK seems to have as much packaging as the US. For some reason, I thought it would be better. I love your tiny house!
I'm so glad you enjoyed! Yes, the amount to of plastic definitely needs reducing 💚

Its been around for a while so quite possibly! I'm glad you enjoyed 😊

@@hippyhighlandliving Thank you! You've given me hope... if others have done it. 🤞😊
Can you share your version of cooking quinoa ?
What I don't like here in the UK is plastic packaging and the fact the organic items are very few...
Where's your lovely top from pls😊

I've not found that to be a problem to be honest. I do have B12 as a supplement but no other B vitamins. I'm sorry that's not very helpful! 💚

Was also going to suggest nutrional yeast. Can sprinkle it on basically anything. Goes nice on your salad or veggies. Can also out it on porridge etc
I grow my own veg and fruit
Is your partner vegan also ?
No he's not, but he's happy to eat vegan together :)
