It's so weird to hear that. Where I grew up and starting shooting handguns were always more easily accessible lmao. To this day while I have experience with rifles I can only really say I have TRAINING with pistols and shotguns.

45 out of a glock 21 is decently controllable, out of a 1911 though it kicks like a mule.
