New York City Ballet returns with two sensational repertory programs for its annual appearance, including a program to celebrate the centennials of Jerome Robbins, one of the most influential dance-makers in the company's history, and legendary composer Leonard Bernstein. It also presents three works by NYCB's George Balanchine and Peter Martins's Zakouski, while Resident Choreographer and Soloist Justin Peck offers the Kennedy Center premiere of a brand new piece.
The company's opening program includes three works by legendary choreographer George Balanchine: Divertimento No. 15, a regal work of remarkable ingenuity for 16 dancers; Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux, an adrenaline rush of virtuosic bravura and technique; and Symphony in Three Movements, a kinetic "leotard" ballet noted for its confidence and power. Peter Martins also brings his Zakouski featuring two dancers in "hors d'oeuvres" for violin and piano, while Resident Choreographer and Soloist Justin Peck offers the Kennedy Center premiere of Pulcinella Variations.

Whats this music?
The ballet music from Verdi's opera " Les Vepres Siciliennes" (" I Vespri Siciliani").
many years ago (around 1995) I saw a comic ballet with the Music of the Vivaldi's 4 Seasons... In that ballet the dancers were bif fat characters, interpreted by costumed dancers... does someone know which ballet was that? I'm searching but I don't find it...
