His dislike of some of the sprites that resulted in him infusing the Pokémon actually caused him to miss out on some cool ones. I checked their final forms, and they are pretty cool

Cleffa and Pichu are pre-evolutions that definitely didn’t need to exist. They both exist for no reason whatsoever other than to deny us of what could’ve been a much more popular 3rd evolution. Ever heard of Gorachu? It could’ve existed, but *no.* Gamefreak just *HAD* to make these 2 already small and cute Pokémon smaller, cuter, and weaker.
