  • Traveling through Kazakhstan on two Suzuki DR650 SE motorcycles. It was late September 2015 when we started this two-weeks adventure trip across Kazakhstan, one of the largest countries in Central Asia.
We started from Almaty - the former capital of the country - where we rent two Suzuki DR650SE. We visited the Tian Shan Mountains, we enjoyed traditional food and dances and we slept on the edge of Charyn Canyon.

I think the U.S.A,, and Australia the only places where you can still buy the DR new.
DR comfort is ok , you just have to toughen up, stop riding armchairs and start riding planks, you get used to it .
    👍👍👍😂

I don't understand your language, but both of them understand DR650. In Colombia you get dr650 latest model with modification in the disc brake, it no longer has holes

Titrajul in engleza e indispensabil, bravo.

    Looks awesome.
How you guys like the mighty DR ? Best bike for adventure riding for me, but I own 2 so maybe I a little biased.
Brave men to ride after dark, DR headlight not the best.
    👍👍👍👍😀

Hello. Indeed, the mighty DR. One of the toughest motorcycles we ever ridden. That kind of workhorse the motorcycle industry doesn't build anymore. :) Unfortunately we rode after dark almost every day. :))) Our only complain regarding the DR was the comfort. That seat is not the best touring option. Also, they are not the best motorcycles for long straits. We had to ride a two full days in the middle of the steppe. The asphalt was great, there was no traffic, no curves. Still, our top-speed was about 90 km/h

Love seeing the mighty DR bushpig :D.
Surprised he said you should get 150 km from the Acerbis tank? I guess the altitude had something to do with the low number? What sort of mileage were you really seeing?
I routinely get 235~250 km out of the Acerbis 20L tank before reserve, and that is with a flat side carb, open airbox, and aftermarket exhaust.
Really interesting to see the Mongol (among others) influence still a rich part of the Kazakh culture, a true melting pot nation.

Hello. He said 450 km. Anyway, we didn't get that range because we rode them pretty hard.
