+spe92 Sorry, but the 2002 season was a boring season that Ferrari won 14 of the 16 races. 2002 season was one of the worst seasons of the modern F1 era.
@@geds7 7 races of which ferrari did not started from the pole. Racing those days was amazing, watch a couple of races and you'll know. Dude are you telling me that this 3 way battle for the lead is boring? You really don't know what you're talking about

Seriously they got rid of the V10 for the V8? Did a deaf man make that choice? The screams of the engines were positively delightful. Ah man this is real F1. You could still pass and you would need to be pretty ballsy to make it stick now its all get within a second. They almost never get as close to each other like they used in this video. Plus some drivers think its bumper cars or something e.g. Pastor and Grosjean.
You either didn't see those seasons yourselves, and speak based only on the results displayed in wikipedia, or you have no idea how hard it is to lead a championship from the beggining till the end. Nor how hard it is to drive an F1 car consistently in the same times for 80-120 minutes. Nor how hard it is to develop a car that has no mechanical failures (at a time when engines blew up every other race, i.e. McLaren).
Luchon20082010 Kaiser my ass, ferrari was a superior car in everyway possible except for the driver, yes Williams actually had a driver, Ferrari had that weak and sponsored champion
Funny, most drivers think it's boring the old guard of drivers (Mansell, Prost, Berger, Senna, Patrese) all thought Paul Ricard (also called Le Castellet) was a better track. Magny Cours is located in the middle of nowhere and it was never a particularly well visited track. Also, it is almost completely flat.
I must agree with some of your thoughts, but the track layout is really special if you compare it to these modern new tracks. The older layout of the Paul Ricard with that huge backstraight is really stunning and i would like to see F1 there, even with a small chicane in the straight

I'm talking about F1. Fedex Cart Series f.e had higher speeds than F1, therefore F1 was no racing. But that was not my point. The point is that from 2001 to 2005 it was the F1 speed peak, then it started to go in a downhill: Tires restriction, speed limit, Engine's power, aerodinamycs..
1st. You don't know that, I was 14 at the time and F1 was always number 1 for me, I didn't miss a thing. 2nd. This has nothing to do with the quality of racing. I also like to see the cars reaching 370 km/h again, I also like to hear the screaming noise of the V10 engine again. But racing is good with the V8's. 3rd. You should feel bad about making such a stupid post.

Funny to see how you guys suddenly miss f1 from 2001-2004. I remember that nearly half of the races was boring because if Schumachers dominating half of the races. And the cheating from ferrari.
I just hate it when people think races where so much better in those days. Only time makes it look better. 2002 was one of the most boring seasons ever. This was one of the few highlights. Races are much better these days, with and without KERS/DRS etc.
Bom dia !!!! Abraço do Brasil.......
Very difficult times for Schumacher, but, he managed to win everything. Williams were superb and McLaren the same. Only Schumacher could have won so many times with those Ferrari´s between 1996 and 2006

True real Formula 1
They don't build tracks like this anymore
Wonferful memories, Montoya return to F1.
Totally!
Goosebumps rising all over my skin when I hear this. A shame, V10's ain't coming back :'(
These were the first few laps, Montoya was full of fuel, Schumi had a dominant car and Kimi was on the pace
Miss Montoya's moves in F1.....
wow raw racing the scream of the V10's god i miss these days !!! bring this back please
Great Montoya!
Hardly a consolation. A deep grunt over a high pitched scream from a roaring V10...ask the fans which one they would pick.
No stupid parc fermèe rules, 3000 cc v10 full power engines, full electronics, great drivers...F1 at his best.PERIOD!
Good joke mate.
Back then it was tight but most races where boring.
Looks great now because we are looking back in time
