In my model, the tank in buried and lateral passive earth pressure is providing sufficient support. If your condition is different, you can apply unbalanced forces and see the result. Thanks for appreciation.
Meshing is done to get a finer result. The smaller the mesh, better will be the result. There is no hard and fast rule for the size of the mesh. It depends upon the problem and the capacity of the computer. If the mesh is very small, it will take very long time to solve the problem. With practice you will gain the experience of selecting a better mesh size.

What I understood is as follows: Parametric Modelling of plates means that we are defining these plates by connecting four or three predefined nodes and then assigning the thickness. If my understanding is correct, Then, I do not see any difference. Only you have to use a proper order of connectivity, like clockwise or anticlockwise. In that case all the plates will have same orientation of their local coordinates. That will be helpful in defining loads on them. I do not see much difference. Regards.
