Yeah she has been lucky, but it's even sadder when you know she loved (and still love) him that much because she has always been with him since she is 12 (not in couple of course, but he was by her side) and now, she has to learn how to live without her everything.

Celine has good sense of humour. Very nice statement from Celine, " I will always represent you as mother and dad." A very wonderful woman--very rare to have this type of woman who is loyal, loving and caring. In spite of her huge success, she did not waiver from her role as a mother and a wife, and most specially her enduring love for Rene.

Everything about Celine and Rene was real. You could tell when they would look at each other that love was not only returned, but strengthened upon that return. Love like this "touches us one time, then lasts for a lifetime...." My heart will go on for you both Celine and Rene. Always there and strong. Thank you Rene for giving us this talent. And thank you Celine for your humour and your strength.

they were soul mates their love for each other was undeniable. i know he will always be with her and their 3 children in spirit until they will all be together again. Celine is an inspiration and a great true model,also she is strong. she lost her brother 2 days after rene on his birthday and she told it was as if rene came to get her brother because he was so weak.
Watching this interview, makes me love Celine that much more. How she answered the questions, such class, such grace. Especially the one with the age difference and how she would be representing as Mom and Dad, and how she broke the ice with a little joke at the end and made everyone laugh. Because what an awkward question to have to be asked. And to answer it the way she did, it was so loving. Now her poor Husband is gone and she will have to do that. I really feel for her. The public gave her so much back lash for their age difference. But in all the interviews I have seen with her, or with her and with him, they had so much love for each other. It was the truest and most unconditional love. We need more of that these days. You just don't see that much. Bless her and may he Rest in peace.

I admire Celine Dion for many ears now. And not just for her an extraordinary artistic and vocal talents, which themselves are more than enough, but her way of life. Such an incredible devotion to her work and most of all - her family. To be such an enormous international superstar, as Celine is, and to remain so generous and kind human being. It's remarkable.
Her words:""I will always represent you as mom and dad", after Rene's death, have even more meaning. So touching and moving emotionally to tears and so reassuring her husband to hear this words, particularly in his health condition, that everything will be good, even in the worst case scenario. What Celine meant was like: You'll be never forgotten, You'll always live in my heart, Don't worry. I'll pass the best memories of You to our children. I see the greatest respect, support and responsibility of this two people to each other. Such a great example to other people, how partners for life should behave in relationship and particularly in problematic situations.
Rene gave us Celine Dion and all the fans are very thankful to him and will always remember him. May he rest in peace.
Like Celine sad:"i'm living with him not physically, but inside". I suppose she won't get over it, but she'll get used to it when the time comes. And all the fans will support her always as we can.

After 19 years of marriage they're still in love like teenagers. I think they both are lucky. Is really hard in these times find a famous woman who behaves like almost a "saint". In love and in her career. And he changed his life for her. They are the best. It's absolutely true, also when he won't be there, he will be there, always.

I'm in a two and a half year relationship with my boyfriend and were 30 years apart. Were both very independent and love each other very much. For all the people giving Katie Couric crap for the questions... All of these types of interviews are planned ahead. The questions, I'm sure, were ok'd by Celine's people. They don't just randomly ask questions off the top of their heads.

What the fuck dude? Katie Couric's husband died of cancer in 1998 and she was left with a 2 year old and a 7 yea old. She is very empathetic and understanding. She knows and understands the tough questions.

What is sad is that this is in 2013 and they are talking about his battle with cancer in 1999 and at the end of 2013 he would go in for an operation for his throat cancer that would sadly end his life three years later!!!
