  • My old mower needs a total rebuild. How much time is to much?
Like it or not I put way to much time in this. It will live again. In part two I grease old sealed bearing, machine some new parts and assemble this old machine. Thanks for watching. Made by Stiga with a "Canadiana by Noma" badge. This tractor back in the 1980's was a very advanced model. It is still a very nice mower today. In 1974 STIGA launched the first Park 2000, a self-propelled tractor-mower with cutting deck at the front that revolutionized the way turf was cut in the Nordic countries. They were also sold in Canada and still are today.

We fix old stuff because we can. In a throwaway society being able to tinker stuff back to usable service can go a ways in saving long term $. Besides, if we didn't like tinkering we wouldn't be doing this sort of thing in the first place. The repaired deck looks good!

Good job, ... looks like all mowers suffering from the same issues, just did another crumbling Westwood deck.
I may actually have some brand new Stiga blades (longer story), but postage to Canada might be a bit steep.
If you let me know dimensions (hole pattern and length, i'll have a look and if i have the right type i'll let you know.

I will check. I have a part number. So far no luck to get parts here. Thanks

The part numbers might not help, i need dimensions as most of the parts i have are not in factory packing.
