I think that if the switch 2 has a 2 screen layout, it should have retro compatibility with 3ds instead of emulating expensive old games

3ds has bad controls, the switch idea is so good steamdeck followed that design & they've made a lot of $ on it. Switch 2 should be pretty much the same as switch but better graphics, more memory etc. Go forward not backwards
I'm still so, so sad about Pocket Camp. I started playing a month after it launched and have around 600 screenshots of my game play and cool updates. I will miss my friends, I will miss events, I will miss visiting other's campsites, and I will miss the updates. I do think the events being every month really stressed and worked the team hard, but I'm thankful they put in so much effort over the last 7 years.
Yup i feel the same way too but at the same time, I'm like happy because all those quests trying to finish them in time etc is stressful

I am too! I just bought the cookie membership again because the furniture in PC is the best of any game. I'm spoiling all my friends and will miss the events. I love this game and don't want it to end.
At this point I feel like I am just renting games. Once you have it long enough they shut it down or take away features that made it replayable.
I feel like this is just a sad reality we live in now 😢. Which doesn't make it right at all. I miss the days when you bought a game, owned n could always go back and have the same exact features and fun that you used to.
I will cry when they release the trailer for the new game

The New Leaf access requires you to have a homebrewed system. If you don't, you won't have access to online features. I think that's something that should be mentioned, since there are some of us who will not do that to our systems, so it's not available to everyone.
It's by Pretendo, not Nintendo, so it's not official. I thought anything not official would need some kind of mods done?
It's fair tho, not everyone has heard of Pretendo so it would've been better if it was more obvious that it would require mods.
(I will say I don't know Nintendo's stance on talking about mods on UA-cam so I don't know how much can actually be said if you want to stay in decent standing with Nintendo)
I'm excited about pocket camp being a single playing game, trying get all these challenges done every 3 hours is stressful! When it started out, it was simpler & more fun but I will certain aspects of friendship
the feeling i’ll have when they release a trailer for a new ac switch game will be the same feeling i had when i saw the announcement and trailer for new horizons and i CANNOT wait to feel that feeling again.
Omg yesss and it hit me in the reassuring way it was released on my birthday, and the day the world shut down, I stayed in bed with my daughters, and we played right through the pandemic
I can't wait to get more details about the new Pocket Camp game...I'm hoping that ALL of the items will be available in the new game, including all the past events, fortune cookies, and landscaping pieces! And the special character pieces...I just added Celeste to my Fall campsite! If the dual screen rumors are true, it would be a bit of a challenge for me...I do a lot of gaming while watching TV with my family, so...yeah...time will tell!
@@SharonKofoed same! I am very curious to see how they handle the fortune cookie or microtransactions and whatnot. Someone said they believe it will turn out like another game, it will be givin out for free.

I just know so many pocket camp players have spent SO a much money on the game. Also Nintendo is STILL trying to sell leaf tickets even though they will be useless in the new game….seems like they’re just focusing solely on getting the most amount of profit until the end 😢
yeah, that part does suck so much. lots of microtransactional games shutting down lately in general, too. i guess the risk of spending money on these things is that it isnt permanent :( im with you on thinking that its odd that theyre still trying to sell stuff, i immediately noticed that too. you'd think they'd stop trying to sell things shortly after the announcement of closure but apparently not 😭 atleast you'll get to keep everything in the one time payment version? heres hoping!!

This is ridiculous. Shutting down servers when people spent real money on them will deter people from spending microtransactions in the future.
I wish the systems were backward compatible so you could play both new & prior games
New Leaf HD could definitely work on the Switch. Nintendo just needs to lift everything from the 3DS original like they did for Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and upgrade some of the models of the characters and areas to be in line with New Horizons, while still keeping that old 2012 feel.
It’s one of Nintendo’s best Animal Crossing games next to the GameCube original and Wild World. If they actually went through with this, a lot of fans would be happy for sure, and there should be a feature for those who still have their 3DS to be able to transfer their old data to the Switch through a special Download Play-to-Internet connecitvity. I was going to say if Nintendo released an app for it on the 3DS, but…the eShop closed down, so that can’t work.
I’m excited that ac is still getting attention. I can’t wait to see the announcements!! I love w ACNH and pocket camp.
From my memory, the Wii U didn't go that well, so I'm not sure they'd have a second go at it? It would make it a bit hard to be as portable as the switch is now if they make games rely on having 2 screens. They could splitscreen I spose, hmm. I'd love if it was just more powerful and we can still use the switch games and joycons, got quite the collection over the years :) And even maybe being able to port our acnh saves to the new console? xD Prob asking too much there, but a new ac game sooner rather than later would be a lovely surprise! (Christmas, here's hoping haha? :D)
im with you, i just want a more powerful (and more aesthetically pleasing) console as the new one. what i *do* like about the wii and wii u is that the UI had so much character!! the wii u game pad is so bulky, i really like only needing to use one screen. i'll be a little upset if they make every game dual screen again lol

@@sadistickitten when did they say that? + the Wii was literally the most successful console ever so Idek what ur talking about, sure it was gimmicky but it worked in lots of games. The Wii U flopped but Nintendo has been adding stuff from that console to the switch bc they now have an audience, so I could see them using the Nintendo switch 2 to use some ideas people didn’t get to see bc the Wii U flopped.

One thing I want in the next animal crossing game...well multiple things
Give the villagers a lot more personality and make them more relatable
Make the arcade cabinets and other stuff like tea cup rides and marry go rounds actually useable
Maybe give us the option to play as another species other than human
Revamp the clothes cause yes
Maybe add friendship levels with the villagers of like someone, to bud, to friend, to best bud, then to best friend and the hardest one to get best friend forever
Maybe we can have like a whole land mass to customize? Like with biomes like tundras, forests, deserts and other things
Some more outlandish things like maybe a witch or wizard villager that if you pay them enough they can change the weather for you like make it rain or make it snow, heck even make it meteor shower that night
Let our villagers have little vacations and be able to call or face time them while they're gone

I remember when u used to upload pocket camp videos before acnh was a thing and i had multiple ACPC accounts back then. I stopped playing a year ago cus it was getting out of hand how much they wanted you to play so the offline version is something super exciting fot me cus I can't wait to use the items that have been launching these last months/years. Too bad i'll only be able to keep just one of the accounts since i had 20+ of them and I had unique characters with each but ill just get a bunch of wigs and layouts and pretend there are many characters in 1 single accounts haha *pocket*

The Switch rumour sounds just like a Steamdeck but Nintendo, as you can already use Steamdeck as a controller, or stream to your TV/PC.
this might be really good. if they make a new switch itself but also another console powerful enough to compete with sony and Microsoft.
Honestly I’m curious to see the whole tv dual screen deal, but it sounds weird. For me it’s better handheld. I’m excited for New Lead coming back online, I was so sad when it shut down.

NSO hasn't added any Pokemon games to the service except Pokemon red mystery dungeon, and I'm starting to doubt they ever will, so I don't really care if Nintendo Switch 2 has a 2 screen option
I wish all the games were available for the GameCube as well and not just on the switches.. I've missed out on being able to play a lot of versions and I love animal crossing..

The rumors for the Switch successor make sense, because the Switch was designed to do everything the Wii U was SUPPOSED to be able to do. It's almost as if the Wii U was released prematurely, because they hadn't developed the technology yet, but now that they have a better grasp on what the Wii U was meant to be, we'll get a dream mashup system between the Wii U and the Switch. And it does only make sense that Nintendo Online would then make use of their back catalogue of DS and 3DS games. I'm so excited just thinking about the possibilities!!

The dual screen rumour I’ve heard wasn’t that the switch 2 will be a dual screen console, but will support a dual screen capability with a new pro controller that has a touch screen similar to the DS and 3DS built in. This way the switch 2 will still keep its portable capabilities.
I wonder if there will be a mini figure series with the villiagers of animal crossing in the future?
yes i could see alot of the games from 3ds and ds games i would play i still own my old 3ds and refuse to get rid of it until all games are ported to the switch.

I'm excited that Pretendo is reviving my favorite 3DS game's online service as it's my most played online game on my 3DS. Also, I asked the Pocket Camp support team if I could keep my Pocket Camp Club subscription even in the offline version if I transfer my save data, but they said I had to wait for more details in october.
I've been hoping the successor allows the console to act as a controller to allow DS, 3DS, and Wii U games to be played for a long time. Of course new games could make use of it too, but I hope they don't force it where it doesn't belong like they did sometimes with Wii U. Hopefully, like they do with motion controls now, they use it sparingly and only if it really benefits the game. Having a screen on your controller is a cool idea that they could make good use out of. Plus the Switch is actually lighter than the Wii U controller was. That thing was uncomfortable to use sometimes.
I might play New Leaf just once for the nostalgia, but then never again. I mean I still have my 3DS, but all I ever wanted was that Jungle Gym Public Works Project in my village, but I played every day for 6 years and never got it. That’s what I don’t understand about people saying New Leaf is better. How? At least if I wanted to put something outside I can choose that myself and not wait for some random ping from a computer controlled character. The randomization aspects about Animal Crossing are the drawbacks for me that make to game miserable sometimes and each entry has its own issues in this regard.

i hope all the content from pocket camp will be there in the offline version, especially those pikachu and eevee items! I also want this to be a success for nintendo so they could maybe do an offline version of Dragalia Lost someday

i am SO excited about pretendo planning on making acnl multiplayer work again. im really hoping there's a resurgence, as i wasn't able to get a 3ds when it was at its peak 💔 i had one for the last year of acnl's multiplayer, but i didn't really know how to unlock multiplayer on tortimer's island until it was fully shut down. so sad! but it will be okay once its back, cant wait!! i will absolutely be apart of it :D
also, in terms of remakes, i really want the original ac to come back the most. getting a copy and also a gamecube nowadays is just so pricey. if they do decide to remake it, hopefully they'll give it all of the features that e+ had that the english version didn't? we can only hope lol. pocket!! thanks for all u do on updating us, mori!!
As a cpzy gamer I'd love to have OG DS games and the like be brought back but the way to do it might not be the way we want Just look at my sims and the other vervamped games

I have two different save data for Pocket Camp.
i do hope the leaks and/or romours are true becouse it would be great to have a second screen for minimaps or adjusting the inventory becouse it would be nice/great to have so i can just look down for a moment to see where said icon is while on the go in game or go to the inventory screen and adjust inventory or make things in the game
Well it’s not much of a stretch since the original switch was docked and you could use the screen or play off the tv. We have the og hooked up and then came the lite which we all have now. “We” I should confirm are my family members. It would be nice to be able to play all games together on one console but wish they would stop with changing up the game cartridges when new systems are developed and we can’t play the old hard copies.
The release date of lego don’t mean anything is just the general month of new set release in general there is january marsh june august and finaly in november there is new set all the years but those particulare month are those when a big batsh of set get on shelves.

I could even support the idea of Happy Home Paradise being spun off to a solo game should functionality end on ACNH and the product reaches end of life where Nintendo is no longer willing to deal with ACNH
But we'd be a long way from that due to the title being a massively successful one
