Everyone needs to put 10 reps in lawbringer to learn to parry. Everyone needs to put 10 reps in kensei to learn soft feints and positioning, and everyone needs 10 reps in hito to feel better about sucking at the game
I love feinting into lights at random because instead of using the light finisher a successful light after heavy feinting will send me straight back into the chain
@theyojo1656 not much people expected to be honest. You can heavy feint into a light of which keep you in your chained, or throw it randomly when people get used to your timings.
I've said it already, Hito gameplay is so basic and powerfull that her only weakness is really people playing her starting to do random stuff out of boredom, allowing you some damage in. She have nothing to play around, no situational use of bash, no mobility trick, no special move, no parry punish, no stamina drain or stop, no recoveries to play around, no soft feints. This is litterally the same 2 gameplay mechanics over and over again and I cannot play Hito more than a rep straight because I am starting to reconsider what I am doing with my life and why am I playing videogames, and this is not healthy for my future as a nerd
holy hell, i used to know how to counter attack and dodge properly before Hitokiri Feast. I tried hitokiri since she was free at that time, enjoyed playing her and after that hito feast, i lost all my skill 😭
They should re work conq and give him a trap like nuxia, and of course a ROLL CATCH. But the trap animation could be cool as hell. I imagine it would look like Conq trapping his enemies (weapon hand or *guard direction) by wrapping the flair around their arm and pulling them in to a overhanded shield bash😂 give him a better light chain from the same side, keep everything else and he’d be more interesting and probably high a tier
Very first clip was a good choice. THAT kind of punish sense is really where you can tell you’re cashing in on years of gameplay experience/intuition. Most players wouldn’t be able to realize that a bash would be worthwhile to attempt, let alone properly execute.
love glad for duel i feel like he’s perfect. the perfect difficulty of learning a new character. strong but not overpowered, easy enough to grasp but still demanding, and an overall fun aggressive playstyle. decent neutral game but one of the best punishes in the game.
I have hitokiri rep 5, and I hate it. I feel like I’m cheating when I play her. But I made a promise to myself to get every single hero in the game to rep 10, so I have to continue to play her until I get rep 10. Fortunately, I already have 17 of the hero’s to rep 10, but now playing for honor feels like a chore because if I’m not playing my low rep characters then I feel I’m wasting my time and experience, and because I have so many characters to rep 10 already all that are left are characters I don’t enjoy playing.
I thought about doing the same, but with every hero at 7, thinking about doing the characters I hate first like warden, nobu, pk, lawbr, etc, before moving into the others, or just going from faction to faction, because like, I'm still only rep 37 and I want to get better because I've been playing since year 2 and barely have any reps on, and I kinda feel like I'm coming in late. @@Siphx_n So, I’m rep 260 or something now. I have taken many breaks through my time playing, sometimes as long as 6 months of breaks from the game. So I’m saying this as someone who hasn’t played every single day since the beta. Best advice I can give is completing orders and champion status. Orders give a load of exp all at once, and the champion status just gives bonus exp per match. Kinda little tip as well, if you go to the war map, if you place your troops and your banner on windmills, you get an extra 5% exp. Other than those, just playing the game really. I don’t have friends to play with like I used to about 4 years ago, but if you do then I would recommend that. Playing with friends keeps the matches more fun, and keeps you in the mindset to keep playing. And if you’re only going for exp and not trying to have fun. I play breach against bots from time to time if I really don’t want to play but also want the exp. One more thing, as a final little sub tip, for me it takes about one full days worth of playing a hero to get them to rep 10 (I know you were planning on doing 7 but I didn’t pay attention to how long that took because I wanted 10). But that what I’ve noticed for me, other people may vary. I hope these tips have been helpful. Coming from someone who has more than half the roster at rep 10, I think the tips are rather useful.
I love videos like this but I was wondering how you feel about ‘gimmick’ characters. Like I play Afeera, who has the funny flip gimmick and was wondering if you think that gimmicks that interact with the game uniquely also make the players lose those fundamentals.
Dodge cancels like shinobi, orochi, afeera can have a high skill curve at high levels, but also are powerful mobility tools that dont require much effort.
oh definitely. Those moves make you harder to punish and forces your opponents to form a plan to catch you while you mindlessly dodge away lol Then when you pick a hero like lb who has no s, you are the one critically thinking.

I wish this was released before i mained hito for awhile, i liked her kit, small, flexible, but i did feel like i fell short, now im bouncing around characters trying to find a new main, thought about shinobi, played for 8 reps recently but now im reaching burnout, and wishing i didnt play hito at all, or even played more when i started in year 2, now im just rep 37 with 400+ hours in because i was just bored of playing alone and using hero tactics alot trying to find a character i liked.

I'm playing Nuxia, and planning to get her to rep 80 (playing duels and dom.) It has been pain, but I'm learning to do a lot of things better when it comes to frame advantage and reads.. ( I just love her deflects) but she needs some dodge recovery deflects): Giving her a bash would make her to much to deal with externally, and I don't think it would be balanced Haha.
My friend who is new to the game mains hito he faints heavy into zone over and over. When I tell him to play someone else because hito we ruin your gameplay he says hito is a great main and tries to insult me for playing warmonger. I main centurion idk why is said that but I did
I work alot and since 2017 the game changed and became faster. I do play a few matches over the week and reached now rep 224 (70 in warden and now 33 in hito). I understand where the hate comes from but for me who doesn't really has the time to learn one of the more skillfull heroes the small moveset of hito helped me alot. I rather play my hito as a capturezone defender, help out with the heal feat on executions when i see my teammates are about to get a kill or put myself in the way of the enemy to hold them off the point so my teammates can heal. And i must say i enjoy this playstyle even when i get trashtalked by everyone 😅
I'm a weak player, up to average at best, but when I bought Hitokiri during its hero fest, I pocketed nan im only 4 laurels and shelved it. Why? Because it's boring. You press one mouse button over and over again, the only difference is whether it's fast or longer. Sometimes we will use the mouse roll to do a kick or an extended kick. For me, it was so boring that I didn't even finish its hero fest. Playing with other characters (Warden, Black Prior, Valkyrie, Jormungandr, Gladiator, Warmommy, Lustkeeper, Afeera or Ocelotl - the order from the most embroiled reputation levels, on Warlord as many as 25, on Ocelotl only 3, generally I either embroil 8-9 laurels and dress the character, or play it longer if I like it more). I have a lot more fun, even if sometimes the bots do me in or much more often the live players. But at least I'm not doing the same thing over and over again.
Honestly I prefer playing big man Shugoki over Hito, he has the same variable timed heavies as well as a bash and a heal from his hug, not to mention enhanced lights. I rarely play any other no brain characters unless its for an order and Shugoki just has a a really good and basic moveset not to mention its easy to do his chains and such with. He's okish in ganks and thanks to his decent health he can do pretty well anti-ganking or at least stalling on a point till help arrives. He may not be S tier to some but he's certainly not the worst in the game.
You may want to get some updates to your hand-eye coordination and reflex software. Those two seemingly lag behind the other programs when these common problems arise.
U need to step of your comfort zone if you want to make progress… general rule in life. It won’t be easy is but you the fulfilment you get at the end will be much greater.
I dont know what is your bias against only hito. There are plenty of no brainer overloaded heroes in this game like oceotl, gryphon, vg or orochi and shinobi with who you just press your face against keyboard and you outplay your opponent.

Hito is the most braindead character in the game. At the VERY least those other heroes have to do more than one type of attack. Shes hated universally and He’s just joining in on that.

start with big mama shugo so ez and u can train to feint work with bashes and timed heavys so yeah and use enviroment with the hug

Hito Full-charge heavy + Bloodlust proc + Fear itself = 63 dmg in most cases.
Remove HA, 4th feat, triple heavy combo rather than infinite and bashes should put you back to neutral, thanks
