since i’m old school (OLD) i can’t do business with a company i can’t call or speak to someone immediately if i have questions. i guess a company keeping one’s distance from customers is becoming quite common. tried to get swatches and they took over a week to get back in touch (via email) only to state that they didn’t have any. i just don’t do that. glad you’re satisfied!
Thanks for the awesome reviews on the Thuma!! Please do an annual review. Would love to see how it holds up after a year or more. Looking to get the same walnut frame but in queen. The cost though is what is preventing me from pulling the trigger.
Does the mattress move around I. Top of the slats? I would be annoyed to have to adjust it daily since it doesn’t appear to “sit in” the slats but on top of it. And does the pillow board feel worth it to you? Would you buy it again, or does it seem like another alternative would work? Thank you!
I noticed the pillowheadboard is rather low. Is your mattress about 12"? Thinking about getting the bolsters they sell but they are only two end pieces. Thuma should have made the the pillowboard higher and/or the bolster one piece. Concerned about slipping. Did you evenutally get the bolsters to elevate the pillowheadboard? Thanks.
I did consider buying the bolsters for additional back support but after using for a while I didn't feel the need for it. Spot on with the mattress height - my mattress sits about 12 inches high (11.80").
The review was very helpful! I have a question: what's the thickness of the pillowboard? Is that made of memory foam? Can you take the cover off and clean the cover in the washing machine? Than you so much if you can reply. I am considering to buy the thuma bed!
@@Heartnet-yq6dq Thanks for watching! The pillow board is 4” thick and the cover is zipped so you’re able to remove it and wash the cover separate from the cushion. The cover is huge, I had to take it to the laundromat and use an XL washer to get it washed properly.
Thanks for the review! I might be wrong, but your mattress seems like it doesn't quite fit the bed? Is that Thuma's fault? Also, how do you feel about the padded headboard being detachable? Does it move/slide easily and would require you to adjust it constantly? Only asking because they came out with a new padded headboard that's built-in for about $1k more. Not sure if that's worth it. Thanks!
It is slightly bigger, I have to adjust/tuck in periodically. It’s a Thuma problem as my mattress is a King. Surprisingly, the pillow headboard is stable throughout use. Doesn’t slide around and doesn’t feel cheap.
How many pound town sessions have you had on the Thuma? My bed frame is getting squeaky with vertical movement to the heard board and its annoying as shit.
Definitely ran the field test more than a handful of times 👍🏾 it remains sturdy and silent! I get a lot of compliments on how comfortable the bed is from people who are used to having the mattress + boxspring combo as opposed to mattress bed frame which is what I have now. Still would recommend. I’m curious if any cheaper alternatives popped up but I haven’t seen any that matches the quality of the thuma.
How sturdy is the mattress on the Thuma? My elderly parents are thinking about it, but they can't have it sliding out from under them as they try to stabilize themselves in getting out of bed (and we currently do have a hand rail for them to use that attaches to the box spring currently.
Very sturdy actually. My mattress hasn't shifted at all since I've owned it. The planks sit slightly below the sides allowing the mattress to sit inside the frame. My King slightly sticks out though but I periodically tuck the mattress back in. Thats my only complaint. I think its a Thuma thing. I have a Serta mattress.
My main concern is how there doesnt seem to be legs in the middle ? Is it sturdy ? I read in another review that it can chip easily even in the box when initially shipped. Is that true ?
Does it bother you that your mattress is a little bigger than the frame? (At least that’s what it looks like to me.) I’m upgrading to a king size mattress as well.
It did at first but it hasn't affected my comfort. I tuck the mattress in periodically. I haven't seen others with a King sized mattress experience the same. I think it may just be the mattress I bought (its a King Serta btw).
@@altercazeI read in another guys review that after the bought it he unexpectedly had to move quite a few number of times so his Thuma now squeaks. Idk if that’s true.
@@ewp1Yeah, but we don’t know if it’s the older ones that are like that. I’d very like to see one in person and test it out. For now, I’m thinking of the Parson frame from Room and Board. Probably going to get this if I couldn’t find a better one.
Hey man, coming up on 9 months since you bought the frame, 3 months since your review. How has it been since? Is it still holding up well? Any squeakiness? Thinking about purchasing it, but wasn’t sure if the pieces have started to loosen or anything. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! Happy to report all is still good 👍🏾 no squeaks, joints haven’t loosened and I still get great sleep on it. I even got a few compliments on the comfort from those who are used to having box springs in addition to the frame. My only complaint is my king sized serta doesn’t fit snug into the frame. In the video you can see exactly how much it hangs out. It’s not much - maybe 1/2 a n inch, not noticeable when laying on the bed either. Still happy I chose the pillow board also.
Great review! Your response to on-going questions were very helpful.
Thank you! Paying it forward 🙏🏾

Valid concern and one I also had. Glad so far nothing has come up aside from the mattress fitment which actually resolved itself. Thanks for watching!

I’m pretty tall, I notice the bed seems low. Does it feel like you’re having to fall into the bed?
Im 6' 3" it's low for me I'll admit. But I like the height, not too low if that makes sense. It doesn't feel like dropping down into the bed.
You have a beautiful voice
Thank you! 🙏🏾

Mine came without damage. It did come in 3 huge boxes. Also there is a beam in the middle which is supported by an extra leg.

how loud is it, if you engage in "night time adult acitivity"
Really quiet actually 🤣 I was impressed. The bed doesn't make a sound and the rubber padded legs help keep it in place on hard surfaces
Is that a full size bed frame bro or a queen?
It’s a King sized bed frame (reg not Cali King) with a King Serta
Where is the side dresser from?
I found the side table at a local consignment shop in Tampa. Saw some similar to these on fb marketplace also
Was just about to ask the same ty!
How much does it cost total for a queen size bed?
Depends on the brand and location. I bought a king
What size your bed frame???❤
I have a King sized bedframe
Are you using a boxspring and mattress?
No boxspring. Just the mattress on the frame.
Is it squeaky?
Nope, not at all. That's what really making the 1k+ price tag worth it for me.
I read mixed reviews on this, some people experience squeaky sounds and others don’t. I hope that’s only a few cases though.

How sturdy is the frame? I want one but i do not want a bed that wiggles. I’m looking for the sturdiest bed ever
very sturdy! I was on the hunt for a bed that didn’t make any noise. They did a great job with that
