For anyone coming here, the plastic comes off easy if you peel the edges first and then pull the whole thing slowly (Don't try to just rip it off. Get under it and lift.) However it goes all the way over the fridge so you have to take the top cover off, as well as the door hinges if you want to get the part that's under the hinges.

Thank you fo doing this 4 month update. My Bosch counter-depth is not cooling but the freezer is still very good. When I bought it, it had to be shipped into California and I am in Pennsylvania. I will definitely seek a replacement, they are still making the same basic item. Or, possibly repair, Bosch has a a good 800 phone number for support and they recommended two repair options in my zip code area. I am a raw foods enthusiast and mostly use minimally processed foods that are as close to the state "as-found-growing". So I absolutely must have a refrigerator. I almost bought a mini like you reviewed but a different manufacturer (Hisense) at Lowe's yesterday, but was late by the time I finished dealing with issues trying to restore the Bosch. Was on my way to buy it this morning but found your Magic Chef is in stock at Home Depot. Lower price and your UPDATE video was like "magic intervention". Compared to what you show, buying the Hisense mini would have been a big mistake. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO POST YOUR OVERVIEW. [You can gravitate to more and more raw vegetable meals 2 hours away from ANY cooked or processed substance. Or, at least, eat your salad first on an empty stomach with no bottled dressing. Also try keeping lemon & water in glass at your bedside to sip before arising, then have fresh fruit. In the beginning, you could do this and a short while later haver your normal cereal or your standard breakfast. Also, you can try "Fletcherizing" greens and fruits, which is chewing and letting the juices drip down, but you don't swallow the fibers, you spit them into a cup or paper towel and dispose of them. This way, the living, active enzymes and nutriments pass immediately through the stomach without waiting for the fibers to be liquified by stomach acid. No animal has a cook stove attached to their mouth, only humans denature the substances they ingest by cooking. An elephant, a giraffe, a gorilla, none of these hefty vital creatures cook what they eat. The don't eat cat burgers or zebra burgers, etc. There's many dot coms -- rawkitchenmagician.com/ is groovey. Try looking up Chef Babette Davis. Some gr8 DVD's, too, like the comprehensive 2-DVD set "Raw for Life" or the Boutenko youtubes and DVD's "Reversing the Irreversible", "The Miracle of the Greens" or "Overcoming the Food Imprint". Some of these are available free on UA-cam. Ooops, after over15 years, I am still enthusiastic about the raw foods lifestyle. Gravitating to more 100% raw meals is not really "a diet" but more "part of the plan already in place" for gaining nutriment. You wouldn't be "making a change" by trying it, we've already "changed our diet", but for the worse, and going raw is merely returning to the normal diet we evolved with over centuries and eons. Sorry to ramble, but I wanted to show my gratitude. You save me big time disappointment. And I wanted to commend you. You "did your good deed" for today, so to speak.] Best to you & yours, sending wishes for wishes, and hope for a Happy New Year to come.] You'd have to scroll way down my Facebook page for "visual recipes", I attended the first state certified raw food academy for a month long course of study, was a commercial artist for a while, so I began experimenting with food photos. If you click my phote albums, you can see a folder with RAW books and descriptions of their contents. Also check the comments to that Facebook photo album to see if anything resonates with where you're at now. One example is this video that I used to watch over and over as I was transitioning, it really helped me. But there are many others you might find more inspiring. ua-cam.com/video/dXi0jpvxWjs/v-deo.html As we used to say when I was younger -- "Peace & Love" Jerry Snyder of Reading, Pennsylvania.

Take a blow dryer and blow warm/ hot air on the film as you pull it off and it’ll come off super easy

Maybe if you heat that plastic up with a hair dryer or heat gun which might get the plastic to come off easier.😊

There are 3 screws at the top. If you unscrew the top you will be able to get the plastic off. You have to pop off the covers covering the screws.

How many watts does it use? I'm looking for something really energy efficient to run off my small solar generator when the power goes out.

It is easy to remove, if you do it before plugging it in. I was able to get all of mine off.

Just a little rubbing alcohol should help with the plastic.

Hello Thank You for the video. Does this make any noise at all? Also the refrigerator in my apartment is making alot of noise from the compressor and the apartment complex wont do anything about it. The compressor is too loud. Does this make alot of ringing or screetching metal noise from the compressor.

Same. My Bosch went out was getting old. I will definitely replace that one but they take months to arrive. I almost bought one last night at Lowe's but was fatigued. Checking around for reviews before purchasing it, I saw this vid and wow I wouldv'e been making a bit time mistake. In stock locally at Home Depot. The internet is still a relatively new technology and we are all still learning ways how me might best put it to use. Thanks for doing these comments. And, by the way, one thing I learned as a raw plant foods enthusiast is that "If we don't do it, who will ?" Times change, things change, people change. Wishes for wishes, and thanks again for commenting.
