I physically CANNOT with these two. Kicking my feet, twirling my hair, giggling, breaking my ankles. Healing the Good omens s2 heartache and Gui/Nandor not being canon in s5 heartache
I mean, I wouldn’t exactly call nandor and Guillermo “not canon.” It’s not like it’s queer baiting. Theyre both canonically attracted to men and the show has made it very clear from the beginning that they have feelings for each other. It’s just that, unlike OFMD, which taika has described as “not a pirate show, but a story of two people falling in love,” Nandor and Guillermo’s love isn’t what WWDITS is about, at its core, and much moreso than OFMD, Shadows is a comedy before it’s anything else. It’s also much less plot driven than OFMD. It makes sense to me that they’d draw GuiXNan out. It’s a hyper slow burn lol. Honestly, I think the show will END with them getting together/at the very least resolving their feelings. I just can’t really see the show continuing much beyond that. It isn’t about their love, it’s about their inability to get together, if anything 😂 then again, I didn’t think Guillermo could become a vampire until the end of the show, and boy was I wrong. You never know with this show! Anyway, my theory is that at the end of the show, Nandor will turn himself human through some magical means so that he and Guillermo can grow old together. I’ve thought that for awhile, and I feel like the end of the last season set that arc in motion pretty well.

As a Good Omens fan, I didn't realize that when Neil Gaiman said season two was "soft, gentle, and romantic," he was actually talking about Our Flag Means Death! 😂
For real!!! S2of OFMD is healing my broken heart after that Good Omens S2 ending 😭💔. Man, Stede & Ed are freaking adorable and I literally never want their story to end.
You all realize that GO season 3 is going to be just as good? I only fear it will never come to be because of Amazon not thinking it worth while to produce it. But if they do, Neil and Douglas and the team will make sure it will meet all expectations. It's so great that we live in a time where men are finally allowed to act like this, to love like this, without being thought weak or unmanly. I love it and I am glad ❤❤❤

ed tells stede the epic story of how he caught his first marvelous fish. stede, with nothing but pure love and joy in his voice, calls the fish beautiful. when the love of his life asks what he's planning to do with this precious fish, ed, the romantic he is, meets stede's expectant eyes and says "idfk i'll prolly eat it mate". a lovely gesture indeed

The cat bell tinkling everytime Ed makes a slight movement is both hilarious and so endearing.

@@katrinasammons1448 When you think about it, he did sort of surprise Stede with the first kiss, at a time when he wasn't emotionally prepared. So it's kind of an acknowledgment of that, and this time, they both signal that they're on board and move in mutually. Love that this whole scene is about consent, communication, comfort.

aw man, the sweetest thing about this to me is how stede just had an eventful day doing the most true pirate, blackbeard-esque stuff he’s ever done, but ed is excited about his little fish, and god dammit stede will listen like it’s the best and most interesting thing he’s ever heard
My celestial gay dads are going through a divorce but I’ve found solace in my equally gay pirate uncles who are getting back together after they’re own divorce.
I know- this was all perfect timing for us damaged fans of the celestial gays
This scene is brilliant for so many reasons. But the most important one? When Stede told Ed "you wear fine things well" in Season 1, they were standing under an impossibly large moon wearing comically romance novel levels of finery, and when it was all said and done they walked away from one another.
When they finally do kiss, they're standing under a smaller waxing moon, Ed is wearing a fucking cat collar with a bell on it and a sack and holding a dead fish. And at the end of it, they walk away together.
They didn't need the finery or the giant romantic moons to find love. They just needed one another.
I absolutely love Rhys's acting as Stede in the whole show...he is such complex character, to be able to mix silly with heartfelt and strong at the same time
I have absolutely fallen in love with him. I have never before seen him in a role that showcases his range. It's quite stunning. Plus, I want to bite him, so there's that. 🥰

I love how passionate Stede is for Ed. I was worried they’d make him afraid of intimacy, but he’s been openly thirsting for Ed the second he accepted he’s gay
Okay, after that STAB THROUGH THE CHEST that was the Good Omens finale? Holy fucking SHIT, this is exactly what my broken heart needed.
Stede just grabbing his neck and Ed being nervous about going too fast and getting burned again, and Stede despite OBVIOUS disappointment decides to be SO FUCKIN' SWEET bro. Gives him his space and respects him. And damn... it is a hawt kiss. Like, straight through me, man. Fuck

When you said “Ed being nervous about going too fast and getting burned again” I - a good omens season 2 sufferer - immediately thought of “You go to fast for me Crowley” and I proceeded to cry 😅
I absolutely LOVED how these scene was done. Just the two of them peacefully standing in the moonlight- no one is trying to kill them, no one is after them, just two of them talking about each others day with an absolute love and passion, and then the kiss just happens, it felt so natural to watch like they were married through 2 seasons and kissed in every previous episode. You can tell that Stede was craving this kiss for such a long time yet he respects Eds decision because he loves him, and Ed telling Stede that he needs time but not rejecting him despite what he has done. That scene is such a perfect example for what being in love feels like. I’m so happy that they’re finally back together, I really hope they get their happy ending because they honestly deserve the world.
And him being so respectful to the point he waited for Ed to initiate!!!
maybe it’s ridiculous given how silly the two of them are as characters sometimes, but seeing a queer relationship that’s so respectful of each other’s comfort and boundaries means so much
I can’t tell you how many times I have rewatched this glorious scene😂 Stede was READY to climb Ed like a tree but Ed was like “nah fam actually I care about you a scary amount and want to play the long game” 😩🥰 adorable. My broken GO heart feels slightly healed.

Ed telling this marvellous story to Stede about his fishing trip and then showing off his fish proudly is just so cute omg. He wants to impress his boyf so much. Our lad has it down bad.

I’ve never happy cried to a show before. I’m physically and heartily so full right now. This is exactly what I wanted and needed from this show.
I absolutely loved the kiss, but I loved the playful handholding even more. I'm almost certain the thumb bit was improvised. They genuinely enjoy each others company so much. Seeing these middle-aged men depicted this way just makes me so happy

After I watched this episode I spent the rest of the day randomly smiling and giggling or even jumping because of this scene. You have NO idea how happy this made me. It was exactly what I needed to heal from the infamous GO2 divorce

my absolute favorite part of the scene was when Ed asked if they could take it slow. In my mind at first I was like wow that’s so weird because I assumed Ed and Stede would have switched roles in that regard but in hindsight Ed was the one who was more devastated and it makes more sense that he would want to take things slow this time. it’s so great

Stede being so invested and supportive of Ed’s fish story, Ed’s expression when he says “that wasn’t a long story at all” in an attempt to reassure him, the bell twinkling, the way they both move in, the parallels, the domesticity. I’m on another planet rn. This is so beautiful and cinematic and everything love should be

And isn't it great that after having this wonderful sensible talk, they stuck to their plan and took their time and talked things through and avoided disastrous whims, and nothing at all bad happened! Yay!

Futhermore, Ed needs put his feeling in order. He become a worst version of himself because he felt dumped and betrayed he needs to trust again. Those feeling doesn't desappear easely. That is why is so important when he nodded before Stede made the next step in their relationship. He finally was prepared.
