- I attempted another Thrift Store Makeover -this time with a wooden storage container. This is a fun thrift store diy - sort of a furniture makeover. For this diy thrift flip I tried a repurposing thrift and painted some furniture in my "modern spooky" style. There’s not many good options for thrift store finds in my area but this is one of the ones that caught my eye. This video did give me some experience on how to paint furniture and how to makeover furniture. I hope you got some thrift flip ideas and second hand furniture flip ideas from this video!

So cute! I love the ghost sniffledorf! Tip on the mod podge, they do have one called hard coat, it has a purple label on it. That one doesn't dry sticky the way the gloss and matte ones do. ☺️

Does the hard coat one look glossy or matte?
@@nickorange4881 it's glossy, but a little less glossy than the other one.
What an adorable toy storage! My cats' toys were stored under the fridge, because once they went under there, they were staying there. My black kitty loved one of those puffy little balls, she would carry it like a baby and cuddle it and sing to it with that weird happy chirp meow. The other cats left it alone, it was her "baby".
Sniffledorf absolutely needs a p.o. box of his own so he can have an endless supply of new kitty toys =•w•=

I can't wait to see what happens to Mr. Moosey! I painted an itty bitty rocking horse like a skeleton a few years ago, I think a skele-moose could be kinda neat!

For little cracks and holes you can use wood filler. I get my wood filler from my local Walmart, it's really cheap for a little tube plus I get the Elmer's brand.
True you can use a mallet to hammer it together to...but knowing me I'd screw it down so it NEVER moves again.

Aw I love the Sniffledorf content. And I can't wait to see what happens with Mr Moosey. He might have potential as the rainbow fart powered plunger donkey that thinks he's a unicorn, but whatever you decide I'm sure it'll be hilarious.
I love how when he is talking he laughs and I know that might come off as odd but it seems so genuine which makes me like his content even more!

We keep my cat’s toys in an r2d2 cake pan lol. This looks so good and snazzy I love it!
Another way to get off stickers is baby oil. Get under and get the oil under there. Let it sit and it should come up. Then use acetone or 91% alcohol to clean off the oil.
If you wanted to fix that side see if a rubber mallet would push it back together. Then use would filler to smooth out that and any other crevice.

Ghost kitty kind of reminds me of my own little oc that I like to draw. His name is Porter, he likes pumpkins and I think he'd be good friends with Ghost kitty (as long as he doesn't mess up Porter's pumpkins) 🤣

@Graveyard Loon it does have sommme resale value. Check Ebay "sold" listings for how much people want to pay. I also saw someone wanting one on Facebook. L.L. Bean Radio Flyer Moose Rocker. It is a discontinued item (obviously, if it was at Dollar Tree). There are enough on the open market to not make this REALLY rare, or one of a kind, so unless sales prices are above $20 or so, please feel fine with making it even MORE one of a kind!!
Radio Flyer made those spring bouncy horses in addition to the little red wagons.
@Graveyard Loon 2 auctions closed on ebay, the one with a bid went for $65! Plus nearly $100 in shipping & handling, yikes! So maybe post it online and see if you get a nibble on it?

To remove stickers easily use a hairdryer (on heat setting) and fan it for a minute or two, then it will peel of without any problems!😉

Loon, someday you should look into the Gesso in a spray can. It's a real thing, but a bit pricey. Also have to have a place to spray it outdoors. But (Snickledorf's butt) it makes getting to things like the bottom a lot simpler.

There are some wood fillers you can get on amazon, or home good stores like Lowes or Home Depot that you could use to fill in wood cracks.

You might wanna try silvervine if he doesn’t react to catnip. My cats prefer it to catnip and go crazy for it.
The Dollar Store has spackle for cheap that you could use to fill in those cracks 😊
Some cats just don’t have the genes to react to catnip, but you can try valerian. My cats also don’t care about catnip but they love valerian toys.
Please show us if you try giving Sniffledorf valerian.

I was concerned when he was dumping off the toys because there were so many I could not stop laughing
Have you tried Goo Gone? It gets rid of sticker poop pretty well. You can use wood filler in the cracks and then sand it down a bit when it’s dry. I like to thin it with some white glue. You can gesso over it and then paint. You could also try spackle.
Sniffledorf sounds just like my cat. She likes to pester the other two and just knock over everything
I wonder if Sniffledorf would go for cinnamon. I had thought I heard that some big cats are immune to catnip, and I swear I've seen videos of lions at sanctuaries rolling around in cinnamon. 🤓

Curiosly my cat doesn't mind catnip either...maybe it's their age, like you said...
Sniffledorf has about as many toys as my cat Luna and likes them for just about as long. She was was obsessed with those rainbow balls for a while, so I bought a bunch. And just as soon as they came in, she wanted nothing to do with the balls anymore. In typical cat fashion, she overall favorite toy is something non-Cat toy like a runner band.
We have the same fish toys for our cat! :)
