I believe this one came out in 86 the W35 model in general came out in 82 but had a yellow 50 meter insignia then in 84 a red one released and then finally the blue one I'm not sure on this but I'm going off the catalogs for casio back in the 80s
There are screen protector tempered glass available online for casio watch you can cut the shape with scissors to match the size of your watch.. I put tempered glass ton all my casio watches I have no problem on banging my watch it is protected & the tempered glass hides some of scratches..
I took mine apart and lubed the pusher stems. From memory, I think they have single o-rings. I wouldn't get a vintage digital wet without taking it apart and checking the condition of the seals first.
@@zootius sorry, the incoming watch actually uses the same module 248 but the actual model is a254. In a glance it looks like f91. But yeah, good suggestion. I will bring it to check before proceeding to wear it daily. Thanks
@@ivanyufenstefanus8272 Hi yep it was the 20mm bracelet here: www.aliexpress.com/item/4001255380556.html I have a 17.5cm wrist and it fits on its shortest setting.
@@ivanyufenstefanus8272 yeah sorry your wrist is too small for that bracelet. Just tried two different 20mm lug bracelets on the watch, they both fit the lugs ok.
@@zootius Great video. It can be quite hard giving a model its initial year of release. From what i gather the W23 is from 1983. That seems about right but couldn't be sure!
I love this model, a very classy casio
Great watches, i have Marlins with yellow dots and red dots, very strong watches.
Forgot to say that it has a steel case not resin which makes it stronger. And that's the reason I wear one.
Excelente Relógio 👍

This exact model is actually my most accurate watch. But it desperately needs a new crystal/glass.
Yes, the crystal is its Achilles heel. Easily scratched and almost impossible to find a replacement.

@@ChefTom777 Ok, but I think the cracked glass is integrated with the display. Not sure if is repairable.
Enjoyed your video, thanks. Is there no 24h mode on the watch?
Good point, I forgot to show it! You toggle 24 hour display by pressing button D when in regular time mode.
So can i bring this watch to shower? Its 50m water reisistant and no o-ring on the button right?

hi, where did you get the jubilee bracelet?
Hi, it was a while ago but IIRC I measured the lug width and then ordered a straight end jubilee for that size from the carlywet store on aliexpress.
@@zootius what is the shortest length the jubilee can fit?
do you mind to send me the link of that aliexpress store/product? thanks :)

No, module 248 was first released in May 1982. The W35 is from 1986.

Is this watch waterproof? It bears the Marlin name but it doesn't have a screw down caseback
