I have purchased the puppy book. I do appreciate all info. Just a little constructive criticism....I've been watching your videos for several months now (as well as other sources). Anyone who has done so knows that there will be a large repetition of photos and verbal info. That does get tiring when it is repetitive and redundant. People will get turned off by needing to watch a video of 5:31 for just 10 seconds of new info, and all photos we've seen before. Suggestion, based on what I see that's appealing from those other sources, actual video demonstrating training techniques, visual situations you're talking about, etc. would be very appealing. I'm watching this video and seeing photos that I've seen for months. And actually being able to quote some of the narrative as it's being spoken because it is so familiar.
Oh wow...yes ive noticed this about rottweilers. Most are obesed only because owners think this is how they should look. But that isnt so . Ty for this video
My dad's rotweiler was 60kg when they finally took him to the vet to be put to sleep. Because just getting up was painful he was old his 👧 🐩 died the year before with cancer in the bones. But i was told the male had to have his collar reduced twice over the last 6mnths of his life because he was sick obviously lost weight. He was over weight for sure. But he was absolutely over sized always. He was purebred but looked part great dane I looked for 130 or 150lb rottweilers on UA-cam and saw one that looked like my dad's dog in his prime. Just freakishly big. Let down by the female who was short even for a rotweiler female she looked small. She looked like Thors wife next to thor but this dog was Zeus
I think the obesity problem is because so many Rottie owners (and dare I say, the more macho blokes) love to tell people how much their dog weighs, and they behave as though bigger is better (oh, I wonder where these idiots get that idea!). I had men like this come up to me and my healthy weight Rottie and tell me how huge theirs was, and all I thought was "This meathead has a really fat dog".
Exactly this, a Rottweiler should be no more than 130lbs max. Also people are breeding them to be huge and ruining the breed. There is a difference between a fat dog and muscle/big boned but these owners haven’t a clue 😂
@@tbabytheninja what kind of exercise do you give your Rottweiler apart from his usual walks and letting him out in the backyard at night till early morning.
is it safe to say that if a rottie weighs around 60 kg. they should eat around 2k-2,2k cals which is basicly 1/3 of the weight in calories? 60/3=20 which then translate to 2000cal. 50/3=16 which translate to 1600cals daylie? can you caculate it this way?
BMI comes into it too. My dad's 60kg rotweiler was 60kg after 6mnths of illness that finished him. When they euthanized him he weighed 60kg. My step mum told me she'd tightened up his collar twice over his last 6mnths just getting up was agony he pecked at food. I bet he was around 70kg at his biggest. But he was insane tall too tower over most rottweilers. Had back paws almost as big as size 8 shoes. There's a 130lb rotweiler is that 60kg or 150lbs rotweiler whatever 60kg is in lbs on YT that looked like my dad's dog. I was shocked to see another like zeus. But makes sense I always told my dad n step mum they should get him measured up see if he's the biggest. When they did the cremation they did a paw print of his paw in a cast framed with some of his fur mixed in. They used the largest frame but still only got his pad and most of his toes. No claw impressions. I think one look at a dog and you know if it's over weight or not. But lighter is bette. Easier on the joints and such which are already stressed in rottweilers as standard. My dad's lived to be 13 a year longer than their female lived and also their first male too he lived to 12. So he did really well even over sized.
Yes! Most owners are also in denial and think Rottweilers are meant to be huge dogs which is incorrect. They think they have a big dog but it’s just obese very common with Rottweilers & majority I see are overweight
Why does Google say rotties are medium to large size dogs when males are 110-135pounds on average And females are 80-105pounds on average there large size dogs not medium

My Rottweiler is lean and muscular 👍
Same. I constantly am exercising with my dog everyday which helps a ton. Plus a raw fed diet.

Depends what type you have.
My Rotti gained weight and became diabetic...just like people.
Why do some Rottweilers have dark faces and a darker body if they are purebread?
Can we take rottweiler in any war or surgical strikes?
I see that you have this problem.
😂😂😂
