I think this is set to continue all the way through the summer and till the autumn mud. Then take a short pause to recoup and resume as soon as the winter freeze. Russia has as much troops around the border as it has operational in Ukr, so it can gradually rotate units to avoid wear and tear and maintain a perpetual push. Ukr is presenting that as desperate sacrifices for territorial gain, but Russia ain't rushin', the gains are not a prime goal, just an inevitable byproduct of attrition induced collapse, which will likely continue to increase in pace, all the while Ru gets fresh batches of fancy new longer range and precision weaponry and fire control all the way from the front-line to the western border. Also, last but not least, the BlyatMobil proves itself very effective against Ukr's most efficient weapon type - fpv drones, so I wonder what kind of behemoths we are going to see the coming weeks.
