How skilled they were and they make it look so easy my back was aching just watching them lay them cables

    Lovely bit of cable-jointing.

Powerstations started being built around 1890 ,there was 1 in the town where i live that was producing power in 1902 and it was modernised in 1950s and decommissioned in 1980
The town ofwarrington played a major part in munitions production and wire manufacturing there were numbers of factories scattered across the town

As a child, on a road near where I lived, I watched a cable pulled in like this and then the joint made just as shown.

What struck me was the young children watching and not being told to sod off because they were the workforce of the future and to be encouraged.

HOW IRONIC is it that British Insulated Cables should feature Stratford-upon-Avon in this film, given what we know now and Prescot's link to SHAKESPEARE.... "there are wheels within wheels" 🤔😀😎👌🏻

So AI sucks at colorization. This is not a good restoration. Sure, faster for you, but quality is not great.

Ai is still learning. I’ve put these up unedited straight from software colourisation. It’s not great but I’m sure it will get better. You can improve the quality in Final Cut Pro, but it’s interesting to see what Ai is currently capable of…..the future isn’t here yet! 😀😁😎😉

This is just a reel - Watch the completed film 🎥 it’s hit or miss, sometimes Ai does make a good guess. 🙄😀😁😎 ua-cam.com/video/TYTqpCZRLyI/v-deo.htmlsi=MQKrBUluN4du3vvY

@@Prescotian is this a specifically trained AI model for doing this? Something you have started based on an existing model? It suffers from the same problem as video creation - it seems to look at each frame individually without taking into account the entire scene. This results in inconsistent colouring. Seems like a purpose built machine learning system would be better than AI. It doesn't need to make up new information, just make a choices based on the provided data. Do you have information on what you're using?

@@blaircox1589 I’m completely new to this machine learning stuff. I just thought I’d put it up as some kind of historical document on the current state of “off the peg” Ai software learning. 😉 I’ve forgotten the name of the software…I’ll post it here. Have to check on my other p.c. 🙄

@@Prescotian I don't give a stuff if it is colour or not I am here for the content whatever condition it is so thank you very much for you time and enthusiasm, frankly I dislike AI intervention when it start distorting the original scene you can't keep everyone happy but I am. Best
