- Container comes close to tipping over - lands on building. Not quite a rollover, but very close! Luckily no one was injured and no major damage was done. Would have been a different story if this was next to a house! Tag teamed this with myself in Hulk, our 50ton rotator, and Alex in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator.
Alex was doing the main lifting up front, guided by myself to ensure the landing gear on the container came up just perfect so it wouldn't take out more of the street. These are somewhat tricky to do, as the landing gear naturally wants to come up diagonal towards you. That's why I positioned the boom to do almost a direct vertical lift, then playing with the cables to get it out.
Once free, it was cake walk to set it back down and level so the wrecker from Mr. C's Tow can take it back to their impound yard.

Hey Josh // Alex & Jonas !!! Great recoveries on both parts again with NO further damage to any properties !!! Yepper !! NONE of those cameras like heat & will shutdown !! If you facture in the heat off the pavement ,, you could fry an egg for sure on it alone !! 🙃😉🤔🤠😎😮👍👍👍👍👍
two great jobs, DAD.
Josh another great job! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
please keep doing what you do i like full recordings. im a small time operator with a
D500 Dodge with Holmes 500 no underlift just sling which i like keeps me away from towing what i like and recoveries so far it has don all i need
Love your video
Great job guys
It remains very impressive when you are working with those big trucks.
Kalamazoo here. Great job!
Isn't "arc nemesis" Ron Pratt's favorite line for overhead power lines? lol Amazing directions on getting the landing pad out of the hole!
arc nemesis...lol yup
Happy Halloween 👻great job !
How many of those haters it says they could’ve done it and half the time actually do towing. I bet you their office workers or drive a dump truck or a small tow truck near what they can do if they don’t.
Oh no! Sink hole?
That black fence at the corner of the building kept the container from breaking the pipe. Could that be a gas pipe?
In the UK red is fire fighting water and would be a sprinkler system.
So-someone just pulled up and dropped, I suppose-this loaded container on a street w/ no boards or anything under the landing gear and just drove off? Just crazy...
Yo, yo! Should out to all my peeps in LA!
How do you find people you can trust with that expensive equipment? It's difficult enough to find truck drivers without having to operate that equipment.
For me fast-forward is not an option I want to see everything from the beginning to end. I don’t care how long the videos are.
They probably punched straight through the road into sewer or drainage. Someone will get a bill ....
You think a car towed out of a ditch is spendy ! You don't want to see the bill on this little flip back! I have a friend that dose big tows like this . And let me say it's not cheap!
Is that truck drivers going to clean the base of the cargo container Jack so it won't be spreading rocks all over and breaking windshields
Keep recording all the process! I enjoy the set up, rigging, lift and clean up!! Thank you
You do not have to justify yourself to anyone. Just do your job and let us enjoy watching.
Josh so nice to have you posting videos again and that there are no shortage of container roll overs for content! Peace to you, your family and Pepe's Towing crew
Why would fast forward, your job/skills are very interesting to watch - see how the pros do this type of work. Especially the roll overs. Your partner is also skilled
Back in the late 70's I was driving truck and dropped my trailer on a city street in Pasadena. I got a rude awakening in the morning at the motel and was asked if I had dropped my trailer. I said "yes" and they said come and get it as it's about to fall over. Back then it was Continental Towing out of LA that came with their big rig and a smaller medium sized rig to act as an anchor. Punched a hole in the street just like that one! Sure brings back memories!
Always you have good videos with with Hulk and big flipper Josh
Looks like an epidemic of 'drop the landing gear through the pavement.'
you put out great stuff please keep it coming😀😀😀
I love the team work you guys have. Yet another great job. Excellent video quality.
I guess You guys in Cali need landing gear like logging trailers have.
More videos daily. I’m hooked.
awesome video and camera quality
Two feet sooner and could have ruptured gas line.
Happy Halloween to you and your family ! Great video Josh
That Hulk is one heck of a unit. Love your video's.
Cool video Josh!! I love it when you make it look easier than it actually is! "Teamwork" is the Pepe's way EVERYTIME!! Happy Halloween!!
Trucking 101 NEVER NEVER Put the landing gear on asphalt Only Concrete :) It will do this..........
An outfit I use to work for found a swap lot for a line haul. First 2 trucks come in
to drop and swap. Truck pulls out trailer sinks STRAIGHT DOWN. Might be a good idea to carry 2x12 boards to drop on like my dad use to carry. Or put those Florida sand shoes on the dollies like the CROWLEY chassis have. I have permits good to 95000 lbs gross. So 49000 In the box is a nice ride. Especially if it's a 20 on a combo tri 40. Containers are FUN!!!!!!
I don't care what other people say. This is some mean multi-tasking. The filming is spot on. So is the rigging. I don't know if mine would be this good.
Love your videos !!!🎉
Excellent recovery!
I'm waiting to see if you guys put up video that one you did today with the container on top of the car 405 at the 605 being interesting one to watch
Wow! There wasn't a whole lot under that road surface, looked like just an asphalt crust! Or maybe they were just unlucky to find that one weak spot 😆
Thats a sinkhole. It means water erosion under the street. Usually crack in water or sewer pipe that erodes dirt away.
Asphalt wasn't done to the rating of that amount of weight, which is the case in most places, concrete or asphalt.
Driver that dropped that trailer should have put wood blocking underneath the landing gear pads, to better distribute the weight.
Happens a lot.
Slam dunk.
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Hey ,,,,,, Hulk is not on auto "set-up" voice commands??? lol
I found out when I'm driving the truck it takes longer to do the hookups and everything get everything set up safe that does do the job great job out there keep it up be safe
All the dirt under concrete is washed out . Next is how big an area ! Just the beginning of issues
Not much roadbed under the asphalt wow looks like a sinkhole nice work
Hi Josh, greetings from Russia. huge fan of the channel bro. Really wish you were able to show Mr. C's driving off with that container. That truck looks a little too small to handle that heavy sucker.
Hey Josh, how about using a helmet cam?
Josh, what is the type of truck Jonas was using?
would be nice to place a camera at the winche to see the trancanage of the cable
Another excellent recovery. Love the way u attack the recovery by enumerating all the moves that u r taking. Job well done. I think ur neck n neck with Midwest towing( Ron pratt) if not on top😁😁😁🤙🤙🤙🤙
I am starting to like Pepes more these days. So I agree that Josh and company are on top now.
another good watch...keep them coming Josh....🙂
That would suck. I picked up a load a few years ago, one of our trainer/student teams tried a shortcut over a mountain on a tight windy road. Didn't make it, no injuries, but rig was on it's side. Funny thing is my 'nav' suggested the same route a few days earlier. I could actually see the mountain from the truck stop, and looked at my atlas at the skinny squiggly line that indicated the road over the mountain. 'OH, hell no' was my conclusion. Paranoia, once again, saved the day....
Paper maps are still my go to. Google isn't always right.
should have done a mid air flip
i noticed when you put out the outriggers sometimes you lift the front wheels and sometimes looks like they stay on the ground just wondered if it was just appeared that way or sometimes you lifted and sometimes you didn't
Correct sometimes I do sometimes I don’t. Generally I keep the truck 1” off the ground so it’s all on the platform only
Leaking water main !
Mr Josh That was easy. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
💪💪💪💪💪❤❤❤
Nice blacktop
Good job, congratulations guys, well done.
Very fancy ladder, wish i could buy one.
You disapeared on me. This is the first video of yours I've seen in my feed in months. Stupid YT algorithms. Glad to see you back on my feed.
Hey Josh: Target and Kohls always have baseball caps if you get stuck hatless again. Ask me how I know 😜
I like the extended single video on quick jobs 😅 not so much jumping around 😊
"flip flops....shame on the mess"🤣
alex the new big flipper operator?
With what happened here, it looks like cities should consider using ground penetrating radar to check for cavities beneath the roadways. Great lift. I wondered if you would be able to pull that foot out of the hole without more damage. Have good days!
Good job getting it upright! So, it was a bit overloaded!
Once again, Josh shows how to turn mayhem into order. Good video.
as always great job
good job guys
tip over
1. To overturn or *fall to the side*.
Yeah so close to tipping that it, you know... "tipped".
Why do people insist on being so pedantic. In my industry, tipped over is equal to rolled over, as in fully on its side. Not leaning or against a wall. Always amazed how someone can watch something like this and a comment like yours is the only take away
