I grew up watching him back when the NBA was on NBC back in the 90s up to 2002. I respect the man’s work on what he accomplished in life. NBA is coming back to NBC next season so I would not be shocked if he did some broadcasting for them.

Costas never called a World Series as his tone is more suited for the national game of the week. It’s hard to explain but he is more of a storyteller than an announcer, so he wouldn’t work on the big stage. But when he used to be on the NBC Saturday afternoon game or even on TBS game of the week now where he is playing to a more baseball fan audience, he’s one of the best.
