Hi Jack. I am sure that Brian will be very pleased with what you have done to complete the construction of this fascinating Pond. My favorite part of this Pond is the actual form of it and how everybody is forced to cross over to the other side by walking on the bridge as a pose to walking around the pond. Job very well done. Out of appreciation to you for taking the time to produce this content, I have given this video the 279th like 👍🏼 to say thankyou very much for sharing. Take care, Sir. 👍🏼🙂👍🏼❤️
It’s hard to say, which is my favorite, they all look fantastic, and Jack, you did a fantastic job of narrating! I have followed your growth, from the kid with the backyard pawn, to watch you have achieved today! Congratulations!

WOW !! what a fantastic job, love the stream and the little waterfall ( what is the drop from top to bottom of stream ) love the walls you guys are starting to do, 👌👌👏👏👏
Definitely worth another visit when all is completed and landscaping has grown in and pond matured. I was surprised to see the use of mortar and angle steel for that blue stone wall. Potentially will that poison the quality of the water for plants and fish? The uni-block walls seem to be a trending feature for Aquascape ponds. I was wondering if you guys can show the construction mechanics for walls in ponds. Building a pond for my home I was wondering about the specific mechanics for layering of liner, geotextile, rock pads and support materials like gravel under the wall stone. Is this block a specialty item for Aquascape or just readily available like Home Depot? Are the materials in these blocks potentially bad for a living ecosystem? I can not understand that many hard edges not eventually damaging the pond liner in this build or a recreational pond. Great job on the construction and beautiful design!! Such a cool stream! Not sure I would give up viewing my koi with so much water agitation.
The liner won't get damaged by the rocks or blocks due to the fabric underlayment or concrete cloth we will lay down beforehand. The blocks will not leach anything toxic as we make sure of this, they are typically called Allan blocks. Safe for the ecosystem pond!
You can still add decoys, netting and caves to help deter with minimal effort! Here's some of the options we offer. >> www.aquascapeinc.com/predator-control
What is the name of that yellow device? It look like you were using it to level or check the level. It had a yellow cord and a yellow box. If that is some kind of checking level device, do you guys like it?
The urns, are my favorite part. It is a beautiful pond. They might want to run wire criss-crossing the pond if the Herons become too daring. I didn't hear anything about any fish caves, in this pond?
Aside from an outdoor dog, the straight drop-off is easily the biggest obstacle anyone can provide that doesn't detract from the aesthetics of the pond--I'd probably get rid of koi and go with cheaper comets before I'd ever have fishing line running overtop of everything. The scarecrows are difficult to get full coverage but work well when only needed for a small shallow entry point... the design of our next pond will have them in the runoff stream following the negative edge just as a deterrent from even being in the yard--given enough time, they'll find a way. They did a great job of the bridge placement to divide the shallow stream to the main pond. With this pond, it still looks like there's spots for the herons to get in--yes, the aeration is good--but more for native fish that are dark and dull--I don't think the agitated surface will make much of a difference for a brightly colored koi for a patient heron.
Having a statue of a heron works well, they are territorial and don’t like to fish near another. Places to hide for the fish is what they need when the fish are so slow moving.
I have recordings of herons standing in 32" of water and going under water to bypass aerators. The only way to truly keep them out is netting. Everything else is wishful thinking.
@@jaybird4095 Sorry to hear about that. Sadly, most companies put out bad info about what herons will and won't do. They are incredible predators and shouldn't be underestimated.
Tell us your favorite feature of this pond?
I'm intrigued by your heron proofing, will it work against raccoons, or perhaps bears?
I have all 3 in my neighborhood and am honestly fascinated
Not sure about bears, could definitely help with racoons.@@Rotten_Ralph
One of these best ponds I have seen, but having the owners already in place pool etc makes it 10x better. A true dream backyard!

What a joy seeing real pros building this terrific water feature. Awesome! And the 3 sunken stacked slate urns are the icing on the cake :)
It’s hard to say, which is my favorite, they all look fantastic, and Jack, you did a fantastic job of narrating! I have followed your growth, from the kid with the backyard pawn, to watch you have achieved today! Congratulations!
My favorite spot is the long meandering stream. It's subtle, it has gentle sounds and it has engaging curves and edging. A great job, well done.
Another Fantastic build. Wonderful job. Love the stacked slate urns also the long winding stream.
Really interesting design. Several different components that marry together into one unique and beautiful water feature. Very well done!
🙏
Loving these walls. Would love a detailed tutorial of doing them. Beautiful work on this job!
I love the long meandering stream, but the urn area is spectacular!
Great project. Lot’s of obstacles. Great teaching moments and a stunning outcome!
I love the bridge and the water falls
Very nice. Could you do a video on using your app on controlling all the features.

Wow, what a great job turned out to be I would’ve liked to seen a little bit more of the skimmer area see how it came out that was interesting
Thank for the feedback! Check out some of our other videos, we show the skimmer area pretty regularly.
It's all Beautiful!! ❤

Love the granite and the stream. Hope you do a follow-up later next year on whether the heron-proof pond was successful in keeping predators away.

Love the skimmer/vault aqaublox combo. 👌👏💪
Jack you are amazing! Great job. Question; how to deter herons once the pond is in. (10 years ago)

Love this pond!! Another amazing build. The stream coming from the wetland is very nice!. Is that a pro air 60 with two stones?
Sure is! > www.aquascapeinc.com/products/pro-air-60-pond-aeration-kit
Beautiful job🎉🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
Does anyone else tap 👍before watching the video because you know it's going to be good?
Always!
I actually tap 👍 on every video I watch so I can keep track of videos that I have already watched

There are some in there that we just didn’t show!

What a great pond. Too bad for the herons. But a bird has to eat.
Has everything except a beach
Which would defeat the purpose…
That would be like the VIP entrance for the Herons!
Urns ⚱️

We had a heron take most of my fish this spring. 4 ft deep, lots of water motion.
@@jaybird4095 Sorry to hear about that. Sadly, most companies put out bad info about what herons will and won't do. They are incredible predators and shouldn't be underestimated.
You need a Cat or John Deere skid steer.
Paying for a large urn that ends up being shorter than the medium size urn 🤔 Math isn't mathing for me on that one. 🤨
It's for the different height aesthetic, some customers prefer this.
I got a bb gun
Ikr…except some places they are a protected species 🤷🏻♂️
