As a former Tamworth local, I have been camping there for 40 yrs. Absolutely love it. My boys learnt to ski there and now we camp with friends and love to kayak. Thankyou for a great video. Always look forward to your latest episodes.
Some special times and memories for you and your family ♥️ have you fished there at all? I wonder what type of fish you may be able to catch (and cook)..... cheers!
Interesting to hear of Nundle Woollen Mill. If you get to the Adelaide Hills, SA there use to be Onkaparinga Woollen Mill at Lobethal (my old stomping ground!) sadly the mill got closed 1993 but is now a museum with guided tours which is also very interesting.
Thanks Janet 😊 We will definitely check that out! What are your top 3 locations in SA? We are so excited to get there sometime in the next couple of months....
I have combed the entire state caravanning all my childhood and left 25 yrs ago for warmer climate! Top 3 would have to be Barossa, Adelaide Hills, Victor Harbor area. Definitely want to see it all again when we do the Big Lap in the future with our van 😊
Love Watching Different Places been Amazing Caping spot great price all light Country Shops Love Wool mill I now My Mum wood Love it there make with it Thank You Sharing so many different places and Stay Safe All Ways All
Hi Green Butterfly! Thanks for commenting! You should plan a trip with your mum it was just fantastic and a wonderful experience to share together. How did you get your name Green Butterfly?
Thanks guys great vid as always Sandra and daryl.. eating Easter eggs while on is great way to enjoy ... wise words museums just old ...love that young man
Hi guys just another great episode our daughter who lives in Tamworth took us to Nundle years ago it is such a great little town it can get real cold there in winter it is a shame you weren't there for the Easter parade it was great day also we have been to chaffey dam when it was full and the spillway in action is something to see. It is a great piece of country around that area as is the new England area . Safe travels looking forward to your next event. Tom a fellow Queensland lander.
Cheers Tom, some great memories for you and your family! We’d love to camp at Chaffey for a longer time next visit. Have you ever camped where people fossick just outside of Nundle? I’m keen to get the pan out and look for gold 👍😊
@@TheFeelGoodFamily Hi guys, have not been to that farm, but to ones in Tassie ,Vic and the snowys, if you get the chance they can be very interesting, well worth the time, cheers...
@@TheFeelGoodFamily the Salmon ponds at New Norfolk Tas is really good, they have every breed of trout there in beautiful grounds... and any excuse is good enough to go to Tassie, cheers guys
Another great video guys. Thanks. When all the covid stuff is over I think Nundle & the Peel Inn will be on the agenda. We've just got to be able to fly over he ditch. Safe travels. Dave
Another amazing epsiode! Nundle looks amazing, small country town steeped in history, with a lovely pub , working wool mill and awesome camping near by. We are looking forward to staying at camping areas just like this and it is crazy that some people are not honest about paying for the privilege of being able to stay there. If people continue not to contribute, so many places will close down and be unavailble to stay at. We have also started following Overland Exposure, and now watching another family (with dogs, as well!!!!) travel Australia. Hubby and I are now in the last week and a half before we leave on our own slow lap of Australia. We cannot wait to start!!!!
WOW!! This is the best time waiting for the leave date to get the wheels rolling - very excited for you guys 😊 hopefully we’ll cross paths along the road - soak up every minute!
We loved this spot so much and it just seemed perfect to be out of the van and enjoying the view. Jasper especially loves these sorts of campgrounds as he can run around and have plenty of space!
A great episode again. Very sad about the number of non payers at the Bowling Alley Point Reserve, . . . . . . but I've yet to see an honesty system that truly works !!!!. I think you missed out on a Gold moment with Drew at the pub, you should have filmed him getting into your vehicle next morning, saying "well, I've lost the pub to Uno, but I'm off to pick up a caravan !!!!!!", he would have been up for it I'm sure. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe, Cheers.
Haha!! That would have been a great closer!!! 🤣 he was so enjoyable to be around with that huge smile 😊 what has been you’d favorite pub in your travels to date? Hope you’re well Big Kev! Cheers Paul
@@TheFeelGoodFamily A stand out pub for me would be the Kingoonya Pub, just north of Lake Gairdner in South Australia. It's gotta be the best pub in town !! :-)). Sitting around the fire out the front in the main street, (the widest one in Australia so they say !!), sharing stories with strangers, maybe seeing a Darwin/Adelaide bound train go past, is a pretty unforgettable experience. Take care, Cheers.
We loved the Nundle woolstore. We went just before covid hit and i can't imagine how busy they got over the covid period. Why did you guys go with the Hilux as the tourer?
Hi Jason, it was the best deal/vehicle we could find at the tine without any real understanding or education.... it hasn’t missed a beat however, in hindsight we would take more time and looked at a heavier 2nd hand landcruiser or similar 👍😊
Is the road into the Chaffey Dam sealed or at least not corrugated, I have an English built van that’s not made for rugged Aussie Roads? Thanks in advance.
Hi Deb, it is partly sealed and then as you get closer to the water it is just hard ground but was easy access and not corrugated.... just go slow and check the track if there’s been heavy rain. I’m sure you’ll be fine. It is well worth a visit!! Where is your favorite off grid location in Aus to date?
We don’t have our own fire pit that we travel with...yet..... but will often just create a fire pit from a circle of rocks. It’s great in places like Chaffey Dam!
Thanks guys, we had a fantastic time too, it's so good letting the kids run around while adults can have a chat!
We had an awesome time! We’ll have to throw a line in next visit.... I’m keen to learn some fishing techniques.... do you guys fish much?

Caught the odd yellow belly but mostly carp. But it's fun trying.
Paul, Katie and Jasper what a fantasic episode. Thanks so much for coming to experience Nundle. Cant wait to see you back again real soon
Cheers Drew! Your segment just made this episode and we loved our time with you and your awesome pub! Looking forward to catching up real soon mate 😊👍
I'm 70 and envious of you and your family living the dream
Awesome little town and Pub , will be looking forward to see it and the experience thanks guys.
Go easy on the rums when you visit 😅👍

@@TheFeelGoodFamily yes I absolutely love Tasmania and Ayers Rock very two vast destinations.

Cheers Lyndon, Such a great story and Drew was an awesome host! Do you know of any other Aussie pubs with a great story/history we could visit?

You give me hope
Fantastic video.....
Thank you Linda 😊
Adding this area to our list of places to visit.
You’ll love it and one thing we will try to do next time is free camp just outside of Nundle all along the river and try our hand gold panning 👍
Great vid guys, have been going to Nundle and surrounds for the past 40yrs, it is a beautiful area, cheers...

3:40 the gap where the dam leads to a river that’s my farm in there
Please share some campfire cooking recipes.
We haven’t done too much campfire cooking yet...however are look forward to this when we get ourselves a little fire pit 👍
Tell us more about the chicken danxe routines?
Hahah, that’s what we call Katie’s routine when we check the lights on the van. Before we tow anywhere we always check lights are working 👍

@@TheFeelGoodFamily thanks for your reply. My favourite place is the Bay of Fires in Tasmania.
We can’t wait to visit the Bay of Fires!! We missed it because of covid when we were in Tassie.... a good reason to go back 😊👍
How do you guys manage the bonfire in most places?
We don’t have our own fire pit that we travel with...yet..... but will often just create a fire pit from a circle of rocks. It’s great in places like Chaffey Dam!
So who won the uno game?
Jasper!
