I bought one of these babys in 2014 for $500 and im so glad i did. its very well buiilt and sounds amazing . Clear strong low end and i can dial in a nice tone for slapping too. My first 6 string that ill keep for many more years! Glad to see a good review on it. cheers!
Thanks for the review, had the chance of picking one of these cheap and watched your review before deciding to go and give it a look. Excellent Bass, great buy, and thanks for the review.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, they are a great value. I'm not sure if they're made any different these days, but there's a whole lot of features for a pretty small price tag.
I just bought like new/used one a few hours ago. I'm glad I did. It's a great deal for what you're getting. It's probably the best bang for your buck for "cheaper" 6 strings imo 🤙Thanks for the review!
I ended up with a esp. it's a special edition, esp b2005. I only got it because I was playing in a metal band with some low tunings. It was the only 35" 4 string I could find at the time. In amazed at how good it is for the money I paid. Esp do some nice work
The biggest complaints I hear about this bass is sub par electronics. Not sure why they say that and I actually played on one. Dang thing is an anvil I’m sure there might be heavier basses but that was insanely heavier than my Ibanez fretless 6 string
@Andy I have this same bass and I agree 100% it's a beast of a bass for the price! And I have a ton of basses, I am going to swap out the pup's for EMG's. What I like most about this bass it's built like a tank as you said! I may change the pre amp as well. For a good solid all around bass for the price you can't go wrong. There is a Johnny Lee Long video of him playing this same bass with updated EMG's if you what to check it out and here how they sound.
Sick looking bass , I play 4 mainly , I have a 5 I rarely touch. I like to stay more in the funk/classic rock area and I'm not a slapper yet. However , I could see this being a good 6 string find , I might consider the 5 string version if they got one to just dabble with.
@@andyarnette9220 I just got a cosmic green Fender Player Active and a Sterlin Stingray Ray 34 , so I'm enjoying those atm , but I will say , ESP has some great quality instruments , I got a EC 1000 a month ago , LP style , in flat black with gold trim , damn fine instrument.
Because I've had no good way to record the bass sound. It would sound like crap through the cell phone mic. I'm getting set up now for good sound record and I'll re make these reviews with playing.

Definitely can’t wait for this one to come in. It’s one of the few six strings I could find for lefties.

I'm lucky to have found your review! I'll be checking out one of those bad boys this week-end and I wanted to make sure it's worth the 400€ price tag.

@@andyarnette9220 I'm moving up to 6 string and someone recommended this model, this review couldn't come at a better time.
THANK YOU
@@joeldoris5204 No problem! It is definitely a great bass for the money.
Great review. As primarily a 6-string player, I have always wondered about these since they were so affordable and looked nice too.
You are correct. I just picked up this bass for $699 new. Thanks for the review.

The pickups themself are passive ,the eq is active though. I have ordered the 5 string fretless one !
Man, thanks for the excellent review. I’m getting one!
Completely agree with this review except I don't have any neck dive issues on the one I own, these basses are a bargain 😀
Nice. Yeah the neck dive is probably because of where I put my strap. Super fun bass.
I saw one on offer up here in san diego 4 3 fifty
All these comments explain why my order got delayed

Nice! The 4, 5 and 6 string ESPs a are all great basses for the money.

Neck stripes are jatoba…super nice
These basses are still around $400 used

I've been contemplating moving up to 6 strings..(I play a 5 as well) and I'm eyeballing this model. I appreciate your honesty in your
review.
That's great. It's great to mess around with. I'm not a great 6 player but it is very fun to play, especially chordal stuff up high. Thank you!
I just bought one yesterday and I have a video on my UA-cam channel
