Gave up waiting for Ktm to get 21/18 set up .. have just bought CFMoto 450 MT has everything including KTM designed motor 👌

😉 Not everything. The cornering ABS and ability to fit the 790s cruise control is missing.

Took test ride of both. Himalayan has great suspension but not good weight management. Its difficult to manually pull the bike backwards on a slope.
But Adv 390 has great weight management, so easy to manually handle it. Power is definitely it's forte.
My unbiased vote for KTM. (Btw I own a RE Meteor)

@@daninobin8229 Test ride is free for RE as well as KTM. It's usually with the showroom staff sitting as a pillion. Buying or not is your choice, no compulsion.

Don't listen to RE fanboys. Most are first time buyers and have never ridden other bikes. Also most pol commenting just type for trolling. They can neither afford and RE or a KTM. RE has cracked the formula of dealing with media. Test ride yourself. Himi is heavy, vibrations creep in at a range you ride the most and quality issues. Just buy the tubed version of the 390 adv and then change the suspensions. The alloy wheels are more than capable of handling kaccha roads. Just don't expect to jumping off from the cliffs like Redbull ads show..

It was but recently there a software update which fixed 80% of the issue, so it's no longer a deal breaker
How about triumph scrambler 400x?
That is a great bike without a doubt, but if you're looking for something nore thrilling with better handling, wider sales and services support + cheaper to maintain, then get the ADV 390. As for triumph, tue fit and finish levels are much higher than KTM, but we're yet to see how durable the bike is. Where as the ADV has proven to be the jack of all trades

It is. This version of the engine has been in the market for a such a long time. It is sorted. No issues.
All you need to make sure is engine oil is religiously changed at correct intervals.
High stress, High compression engines need good oil to be reliable in the long run. Never skip or delay oil change.
What about the vibrations?
Vibrations are very well contained, especially with the BS6 engine, the vibes are minimal while touring, although you do feel some vibes at lower RPM on the footpegs in city, but nothing that'll irritate you, on highway at 100KMP-115KMPH the bike is buttery smooth with no vibes anywhere
No vibrations whatsoever. There is a minor buzz at low roms. Get a FuelX installed to solve the jitteriness if you are not used to apply clutch often. If you are used to then no modification required
