I keep watching the second performance over and over again
If we go by experimental dance #2 was the real winner. That Japanese gentleman Brother did an amazing performance! Great job on the rest of the dancers, honestly, every single one of them did a Great Effort and a Great Performance, I just personally think #2 standed out hugely! Hugs to everyone and Cheers from México!
Really enjoyed the last guy's performance. That should be a dance style on it's own.
I liked the Japanese guy the most. Contortionist dancing is cool to watch, but there's so many of them out there. Although he is definately one of the better ones.
2:05 : You are in a nice, peaceful area with cherry blossom trees. The only people around are the ones out of visual range in the bustling shops nearby, and it is a sunny day. Upon venturing into the more wild area away from the others, you notice that another person has come out here. They are dancing in a small clearing as leaves from the nearby cherry blossoms fall on them. You watch in awe, wondering who this mysterious dancer is.

i think stephane won because one: it was more street, which juste debout is more about, and two: it was more unique and EXPERIMENTAL, which i guess they were looking for in this contest

mostly because making those angles perfect 90's looked pretty sick.
but the japanese guy in the beginning, the first lady, and one of the ladies near the end in the grey shirt were def on par. Such a fun category. Loved it. all the dancing was pretty high level

he deserved it. the thing is that you are just unable to understand how he follow the music, it's experimental dancing, many of those dancers have quite particular relation between the way they move and how the music goes. just go watch other videos of S dancing and you'll understand how crazy it actually was

I enjoyed that of the Japanese and Stephane and am glad one of them won.
The second guy actually deserved to win. It was beautiful, he danced with emotion and technique, not just relying on flexibility like the winner.

That was an interesting watch. Good stuff. Don't know whether you'd call his style contemporary, or whatever, and he looks trained... If not, he's a passionate dancer, regardless, I found the guy from Japan really good. "Really good", that was weak. He's a beautiful dancer. And my personal favourite from the bunch was the 4th contestant. Spent a lot of time on the floor, but the guy's sick. Amazing control, beautiful flow, mad rhythm. Really enjoyed him. But mad stuff all around, good to see people just, doing their thing.
And yoyo7940, somehow can't reply to your comment. I don't speak or read french, but I know "je suis" is, "I am"... And I'm assuming juste debout, translates to "just dance", but I could be wrong. I guess he was just keeping it honest. If you don't feel like moving, don't.
